Comparing a traffic ticket to trespassing is apples and oranges as many trespassing encounters are criminal offenses. Criminal trespassing involves knowingly entering or remaining on another's property without permission (especially with known laws or trespassing warnings), and can lead to fines or jail time. Civil cases occur when an illegal enters another's property and causes harm or damage.

It’s also illegal to jaywalk and drive 36 in a 35 zone. We don’t throw people in jail for doing those things. Hardly ever ticket them. So a discussion about enforcement is what’s being had.
