I think the problem with conservatives is that they don't know the real honest definition of a recession.
The real definition of recession is 2 consecutive quarters of negative growth. The negative growth can go on for more than 2 quarters but recession starts at 2 consecutive quarters of negative growth,.
And yes, by the middle of 2009, we stopped having quarters of negative growth.
None of these far right wing radical extremists have taken even one quarter of an economics class. Most of them probably only went to high school and nothing more.
Which is why they are so down right stupid about economics.

Companies didn't invest that money. All they did was buy their own stock back. Which artificially inflated the stock market.
That rise in the stock market wasn't created by innovation or new investment that creates jobs.
All company stock buy back does is artificially inflate the stock market and the company stock value for a short time.
That short time is over now.

Actually it's from. Econ 101. I was required to take the course when I was in college getting my degree in accounting and finance. At least one quarter a year of Econ was required at the time for my degree.
What I posted is what every student who has sat through the first couple weeks of an Econ 101 class.
From your post I can see you never took an Econ class.
