The problem with getting to a peace deal, is both sides are required to understand the political goals and needs of the other side, and acknowledge that their reality is just as important as it is to the other side. This means getting beyond the war propaganda.

The war is essentially political. Now, western media has been beating their citizens over the head with the narrative that Putin only wants to seize Ukraine.

If this is what you believe, then I understand why a person would be annoyed by this interview.


If you understand Russia and Putin's concerns going back to the western engineered coup in Ukraine in 2014, Trump's comments seem reasonable.

Trump is in the process of masterminding one of the most delicate and sensitive cease fires in history. It all is expected to come to a head in the next few weeks or months. He has to be careful what he says and how he says it in this process.

I think there is a lot more to it than what we are hearing from the media, even the more right leaning like Fox News. I'm reading that if the truth about the funding to the Ukraine was honestly made public, both political parties would disintegrate.

Since I don't know any details, I have no opinion on that, but what the media allows you to see should not be assumed to be all there is to see.

Honestly readers, I am not able to do more than speak up. Trump will walk into failure and later we must be who makes excuses for him. What will we do when he fails?
