“Trump has ordered an aircraft carrier strike group to the Caribbean, a major escalation of warships in the region as the U.S. attacks alleged drug-running boats and increases pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Deploying a carrier is a significant move for any White House, and often suggests larger scale military operations.

The arrival of the U.S.S. Gerald Ford, the Navy’s newest and most advanced aircraft carrier from the Mediterranean, alongside several destroyers and a submarine, will add to what is already the world’s largest naval deployment.”

An attempt by Trump to deflect from a failing economy, sinking poll numbers, and Epstein.

It’s also an escalation of the lawless killing of civilians absent evidence off wrongdoing.

A madman controls the world’s most powerful military, the consequence of an America having gone insane.

I highlighted your lies so you can go back and delete them.

LOL

President Trump has lefties defending drug cartels now.

Carriers are on the move all the time. They don't sit in dry dock. You just happen to know about this one because the media wants to make hay with it. Meh.

The Ford strike group is 1 of 12 the US has, several are deployed across the word at any given time. So you just proved your complete ignorance of what constitutes the "world's largest naval deployment".

.

The USN's dozen carriers and their accompanying escort/strike force ships (mostly destroyers and cruisers) tend to operate on the "rule of three".

Usually about a third of the task forces are winding down on their deployment cruises, heading into port, and/or there already getting refits-repairs-replacements-rest - etc.

Another third are in the process of "working up"; finishing the dockyard work, doing some shake-down cruising, getting the air wing on-board and doing some take-off/landing drills and similar training.

The final third is "On Station", deployed and active in apart of the World where DoD(DoW) sees a need for a force presence. Usually at least one Carrier(CV) task force in Western Pacific, another in the Mediterranean, another might be in the Persian Gulf/Indian Ocean, and the fourth backing up one of those three or some other Station.

Numbers can flex a bit if needed.

The nominal four CV Task Forces can have another or two added by stretching out the transit time going into port for RRR, or rushing the RRR of a ship to get it out of port sooner. In these cases another puzzle piece to fit is the Air Wing. Often as a CV is about to go into Port, the aircraft (Air Wing) assigned will start to peel away and go to stateside bases (home base). Or those aircraft~squadrons that have been stateside in their training~refit stint at home-base will have to hustle and deploy, fly out to join up with their CV sooner. Often part of working up for deployment is practicing some air operations, especially launches and landings to get the aircrews refreshed on these procedures.

True. which is why this photo with three carriers in the Pacific is so unusual.

We finally have a president who is stopping the Venezuelan criminals from bringing drugs into our country and killing our young people….and you’re complaining?

Manufactured crisis. Rickety boats “supposedly” operated by drug smugglers in international waters. We have police and a legal system to handle. Minimally international law requires the use of non-lethal force but it makes good TV so who cares?

Either an attempt to deflect from his problems, or trying to get rid of Maduro so he can win the Nobel Peace Prize?

100,000 dead Americans annually is more than a "manufactured crisis" dumbass, its a national disaster.
Trump can kill as many drug traffickers as he wants.

….or a successful objective to stop the illicit drug trafficking into our country from Venezuela?!

Amazing how brainwashed you people are: South American drug lords are bringing in drugs and killing our kids, and you criticize Trump for taking action to stop it.

Do you realize how deranged you are?

Americans have over the years questioned a lot of things. From the food we eat to illegal drugs that enter our nation. So, we have a President trying to get answers to things the everyday common man has to live with.

Trump's popularity here and worldwide is at an all-time high, the stock market is at an all-time high, investment in this country is at an all-time high, drug interdiction is at an all-time high, illegal border crossing is at an all-time low and cities are safer than they have been in decades. With all those spectacular accomplishments, it's no wonder Democrats are shutting down our government. They can't take all the WINNING, just like Trumpy predicted 10 years ago.
