I'm wondering if Haley's announcement that she's running for the GOP nomination will open up a floodgate of other candidates? It seems that a lot of Republicans were scared to be the first one to take on Trump. Wonder how this is gonna play out in the next few months? Will it be a bunch of backbiting and squabbling between the candidates and Trump emerges as the victor because he does fighting and dirty politics better than most, or will it be that they all unite together and say that any of them are better than Trump?
I'm also wondering how Trump is going to approach his attacks on her.
First, he will target her name. I mean if you are the sex that you were assigned at birth are you not also the name you were assigned at birth, for Niki it is Nimarata Nikki Randhawa, that is not going to go over well with Cleatus and Billy Bob down in Alabama. And that will be his segway into Haley's ethnicity. She always claimed she was "white", on everything from college applications to resumes. Today, she is "Asian", or even worse, "non-white". Look at her and give me a break. Significantly, she never mentions "Indian" or "Sikh". Using one's ethnic background, or even claiming you are "non-white" when looks say otherwise, doesn't go over well with Trump's base. I mean I hate to go there but you can bet Trump will.
For me it is the fact that she is woefully unqualified. And she is a politician, an "operator" of the first order. She kissed Trump's ass when it suited her, and now she condemns him because she thinks that will suit her. Her tenure at the UN was deplorable, and while much of the fault might lie with Trump the reality is she didn't have the courage or the fortitude to stand firm, mostly because she had no clue as to what she was doing. But the operator part, she became a member of the board of directors at Boeing after leaving the UN, $315,000 a year for doing next to nothing. Why? Because of the tax breaks she gave Boeing while governor of South Carolina, the definition of payola.
Here is the deal, there is a game, you can find it here.
Play "The Fiscal Ship" and make your own plan to keep U.S. debt from rising
Trump should challenge Haley to a match, the results would be illuminating, for both candidates.
