I think it showed a lot of conviction and resolve on Trump's part to cut Musk loose. Many politicians would not cut loose any uber-multi-billionaire who is on his side. They'd suck up to them even if they compromised their own prerogative by doing so.

The liberals and progressives whined and whined that musk was really in charge. Guess not.
