Biden did "it" riding on the momentum of the cumulative 16.8% inflation already in place and done in the previous 3 years. That inflationary increase prior never went away, nor has the inflation of any previous years if you understood the chart and it's date that was presented in post #9.COVID result......please deny the WW inflation and just blame biden.
You will once again look foolish.
Oh Look, biden brought inflation back to 2.9%.
HOW, how did he do that?
Didn't ex-presser KM claim that trump inherited 9% inflation?
She DID, and that is a PROVEN LIE.
BTW, numbers shown in post # 9 show that during Trump's term, total inflation for the years 2017-2020 was @ 7.5%, way less than half of the 19.7% during Biden's term.
COVID result is that Biden "leadership" supported the economic shutdown imposed (illegally) by fellow Democrat governors for the first years of his term which drove the inflation rate up to 16.8% total. Among other damages to the economy, especially the many small businesses that went bankrupt during that time.
Only part "wrong" from ex-presser KM claim is that the inherited inflation was actually 19.7%, not just 9%.
You fail to grasp the concept of "Rate" versus "Accumulated = total"
AGAIN (foolish) Dufus, study the chart at the bottom of the page of this link;
Consumer Price Index Data from 1913 to 2026
The Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) is provided by the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistic and is used to measure inflation. The CPI is calculated and released monthly and powers this site's always-current Inflation Calculator, among other things. The CPI was last updated on February...
*Base year is chained; 1982-1984 = 100. This table of CPI data is based upon a 1982 base of 100. What does this mean? A CPI of 195.3, as an example from 2005, indicates 95.3% inflation since 1982.
CPI at start of Biden's term was: 261.582 (accumulated inflation to that date)
CPI at end of Biden's term was: 315.605 - The difference between these numbers are the total amount of inflation during Biden's term. Are you capable of doing that math and telling the class how much inflation increased during Biden's term ???
CPI for last month that shows data, Sept. 2025 is: 324.800
Subtract 315.605 from 324.800 = 9.195 ~ showing how much inflation has gone up during the first 9 months of Trumps term.
Since only part of January was Trump's we divide that 9.195 by 8(months) and get an average inflation increase rate, monthly of @ 1.149%
Only one looking foolish is you and appears you need to repeat your K-12 education and try learning the basics it was supposed to teach you.
