Trump lies Again

COVID result......please deny the WW inflation and just blame biden.
You will once again look foolish.

Oh Look, biden brought inflation back to 2.9%.
HOW, how did he do that?
Didn't ex-presser KM claim that trump inherited 9% inflation?
She DID, and that is a PROVEN LIE.
Biden did "it" riding on the momentum of the cumulative 16.8% inflation already in place and done in the previous 3 years. That inflationary increase prior never went away, nor has the inflation of any previous years if you understood the chart and it's date that was presented in post #9.

BTW, numbers shown in post # 9 show that during Trump's term, total inflation for the years 2017-2020 was @ 7.5%, way less than half of the 19.7% during Biden's term.

COVID result is that Biden "leadership" supported the economic shutdown imposed (illegally) by fellow Democrat governors for the first years of his term which drove the inflation rate up to 16.8% total. Among other damages to the economy, especially the many small businesses that went bankrupt during that time.

Only part "wrong" from ex-presser KM claim is that the inherited inflation was actually 19.7%, not just 9%.

You fail to grasp the concept of "Rate" versus "Accumulated = total"

AGAIN (foolish) Dufus, study the chart at the bottom of the page of this link;
And try to process the message/key in this footnote there;
*Base year is chained; 1982-1984 = 100. This table of CPI data is based upon a 1982 base of 100. What does this mean? A CPI of 195.3, as an example from 2005, indicates 95.3% inflation since 1982.

CPI at start of Biden's term was: 261.582 (accumulated inflation to that date)
CPI at end of Biden's term was: 315.605 - The difference between these numbers are the total amount of inflation during Biden's term. Are you capable of doing that math and telling the class how much inflation increased during Biden's term ???

CPI for last month that shows data, Sept. 2025 is: 324.800
Subtract 315.605 from 324.800 = 9.195 ~ showing how much inflation has gone up during the first 9 months of Trumps term.
Since only part of January was Trump's we divide that 9.195 by 8(months) and get an average inflation increase rate, monthly of @ 1.149%

Only one looking foolish is you and appears you need to repeat your K-12 education and try learning the basics it was supposed to teach you.

Clearly, your veneration of the sexual abuser/convicted felon/business fraud prevents you from confronting the reality that the blowhard repeatedly assured the American people he would improve the economy dramatically and expeditiously.

Was he ignorant of your excuse that the consequences of Biden's economic policies would necessarily endure? Just a few examples of his blowing gas:

Trump Approval on Issues: Economy |

Public approval is not the same as actual data.
See my post preceding this, if you are capable of basic math.

Some truth to your statement. I was a Trump supporter but I never joined the cult. I banked on him keeping his campaign promises. I've since filed "trust bankruptcy." I've never really liked the man and simply couldn't listen to him speak. He has a first-grade level vocabulary which grated on my nerves. Nevertheless, I was duped into believing that the acronym "MAGA" meant putting "America First." I've since learned that MAGA actually means MIGA.

Nevertheless, Bidenomics was a horrible disaster. Perhaps you should step outside the Biden cult and acknowledge that Biden's Presidency was a complete failure. Honesty and humility will go a long way in establishing ones credibility.
What did I ever say in an attempt to mitigate the Biden economy? Please refresh my memory.

I readily recognized that Trump is morally depraved thanks to his "Access Hollywood" self-portrait, but his egomaniacal impotence in ever acknowledging responsibility for adverse aspects of anything within his purview has been exposed over time and is especially repulsive as only craven cowardice can be.

His inability to honorably accept defeat resulted in his goons attacking outnumbered police defending democracy as he watch for hours before finally telling them that he loved them was thoroughly insipid. His smearing Black immigrants with his lie about their eating their neighbors' pet cats and dogs was repulsive. His demonizing all Somalians likewise.

His lying and immature name-calling has become tedious, but it is the consequences of his policies that I regard as being seriously damaging to the United States.

He has had at least a decade to refine and legislate his promised replacement of 'ObamaCare' with "something terrific" that "covers everybody," yet is still flailing about for the semblance of a plan as tens of millions of Americans now face the imminent loss of their healthcare coverage.

I'm sure that he will insist that he is in no way culpable, of course..

Trump continues lying about the economy. He is destroying what was the world's best economy. Do not fall for the blame Biden. Inflation was under 3 percent when Trump took office, so Republicans here can stop repeating that 9 percent infation line that was the result of COVID . That ended at some point in 2022, and inflation dropped every year from that point on. Now it is rising again, but Trump is lying and trying to blame Biden.

Steve Rattner: Inflation has not been stopped in its tracks, as Trump claims

You understand that inflation is a cumulative statistic, correct? Having 3% now doesn’t erase the much higher stints from the Biden term.

The inflation spike was inevitable. Massive, QE-fueled, post-lockdown demand collapsed weakened global supply chains, and it all quickly fed on itself.

Trump is spectacularly clueless on macroeconomics. It's just a damn shame he can't stop lying about this. He's still saying that other countries pay tariffs, for ****'s sake.

It's ignorant, aggressively stupid shit like this that cause so much damage and lead so many to consider an awful ******* option like socialism. But THIS IS WHY that is happening.

IM2 is so fragile that he has more people on his iggy list
than not on his iggy list. The child wears it as a badge of honor. :eusa_whistle:
I have never used the ignore feature

You can explain to the American people that they owe their current prosperity that they fail to perceive to Trump.
It appears that the American people are not believing his amazing, insulting lie about affordability being a hoax.

Hell, who knows. Maybe that's what he's being told by his "staff", he wants to believe it, so he just runs with it.

I'm not making any predictions, though. Since I learned that America isn't what I thought it was, I'll assume 2026 is a tossup.

Ordinary Americans deal directly with affordability every day. When you have filthy-rich seekers of government favor to pay for your glitzy ballrooms, your perception of affordability might be a tad skewed.

37% of Americans who voted for him in 2024 believe the cost of living is the worst they can ever remember, and 34% say it’s bad but can think of other times when it was worse...
A soft spot could be Republicans who don’t identify as “MAGA.” Among those particular voters, 29% said Trump has had a chance to change things in the economy but hasn’t taken it, versus 11% of MAGA voters who said that.

Numbers on this chart suggests that "IM2" lies again;
IM2 is not lying, you all just don't know how to read (interpret) the data in the chart which is an aggregation of the numbers all across the country. This does not properly depict the trends in high cost of living places like Seattle, San Francisco or the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Furthermore, in my area, wages are not going up or even stagnating, they're going down in the tech field. The first image is from September 2023 while the 2nd one is from October 2024:
