It's too early, imo, to start picking at how not just Israel and the US missed this attack that was preplanned for perhaps a year, but also the Saudies the Jordanians, not to mention ... would Qatar have tipped folks off, or did they even miss this despite having maybe the "best" relations with Hamas.
For Israel, there's going to have to be referendum on Bibi, whose policy of zionist expansion on the West Bank ... and Syria .... There's no doubt he played Hamas against Fatah to fuel his expansionist agenda. Rumblings from inside Israel already suggest criticism that his policies and deployment of defense forces left Israel open, and he put in defense staffers who were more familiar with zionist expansion than defense. But that's for them, and in their own time.
Meanwhile, back in the US, it's been verboten by Faux and Trump (irony) to criticize Israel's policies. Javanka got Billions from the arabs, despite Trump cheering on Likud and the zionist expansion. Was that right? I really doubt the US will have that debate in public ... so long as Trump's around. It's like Kryptonite for the gop (ain't no supermen there, lol) even if the criticism of Israel is not about cutting off Israel. It's not like Hamas and Fatah are rational actors, if the goal is to make life easier for their "constituents."
And the UUUUGE question is ... what did Iran know, and when did they know it. It APPEARS they were not in the loop, or at least their Quds "organization" was a tad surprised .... but early days on that. Still, Iran had a lot to gain from normalized relations with the Saudies. And Hamas' decisions may not have been influenced by that, but rather in seeing an opening for marginalizing its foe, Fatah, with elections possibly in the future. IF that's was a factor .... well Hamas has never been accused of a long range plan besides just getting the Pales to procreate, which is simply insane if the goal is to make their lives better.

And, of course, the usual suspects are compelled to rush to this board, posting everything he either says or what they think he might have or should have said. You do know that the worst thing anyone could do to an egotist like TRUMP! is to ignore him, right? Let him say whatever he wants to say and simply don't react. Show that he's as unimportant as he really is, because he's successfully inflated his importance to you. As it is, he clearly represents some sort of danger or threat, because you (collectively) create threads about everything he says and cannot let a thread about Quid Pro Joe stand without incessant complaints about TRUMP!
Y'all have TRUMP! on the brain, and that's what he wants. I would not be surprised at all if there are more threads on what TRUMP! says about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict than there are on what Quid Pro Joe says (and does) about it.
