obama got around that with the H1N1 by stopping all testing, you doofus...
However, during the 2009 swine flu pandemic, the Obama administration suddenly told states to shut down their testing, without providing much in the way of explanation. And, Biden's top advisor at the time has acknowledged that the Obama administration didn't do "anything right" to combat that pandemic, before walking back those comments.
The record seemingly complicates Biden's claims, in advertising and speeches, that he would have handled state-level coronavirus testing more effectively than the current White House.
"In late July, the CDC abruptly advised states to stop testing for H1N1 flu, and stopped counting individual cases," CBS News reported in 2009. "The rationale given for the CDC guidance to forego testing and tracking individual cases was: why waste resources testing for H1N1 flu when the government has already confirmed there's an epidemic?"
Reporter Sharyl Attkisson continued: "Some public health officials privately disagreed with the decision to stop testing and counting, telling CBS News that continued tracking of this new and possibly changing virus was important because H1N1 has a different epidemiology, affects younger people more than seasonal flu and has been shown to have a higher case fatality rate than other flu virus strains."

What did he say? Break it down for us. As I recall the exact quote is " if we did half the testing we'd have half the cases", not "if we did half the testing we'd know about half the cases".

I see you completely ignored the fact that during H1N1 obama ordered the states to stop testing....nice dodge.
I'll give Trump some credit. At least he didn't say testing would be much more efficient if it was limited to only those who had come down with the virus.

No, you are the one failing to understand. Trump is dead on right.
Trump's point is not that Corona would not exist, but rather than you would not know about it.
His point is that before, when the amount of testing for Corona was low, people still had it, but they were not freaking out about it.
Covid-19 has been spreading through the population back in January.
People didn't freak out, because you didn't have they "Daily New Cases!" apps with all these high numbers.
The infections were always there before, but now simply because there is more testing, the media is splashing headlines all over the place.
You guys are acting like everything was peachy, and then infections are flying all over the place. No, they were there before, you just didn't know about it.
And CDC said this. The CDC started testing blood donations for anti-bodies, and found a massive number of them had Covid-19 anti-bodies. Which means that a massive number of people have the illness, and never knew it. Most cases of Covid-19 have no symptoms.
But if you increase testing, you'll have more known cases of Covid-19. Then you can look at the scary graph on the TV, and freak out about it like a moron.

There are a few politicians that had daddy's that could have also bailed them out of million dollar mistakes. There isn't anywhere all that tough when you are born into this.
