Chipman has made his stance clear in that he would definitely take away all semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines. There's an interesting statistic by the government in which it shows that 8x's more people are murdered by knives than by rifles. Strangely, I don't hear the public clamoring for background checks on kitchen knives, steak-knives, butcher knives, fillet knives and hunting knives, or confiscation.
