Despite his protestations to the contrary, we all know that Social Security is in Trump's cross hairs. He claims, without providing evidence, fraud is rampant in the system, and that millions of dead people are still receiving monthly benefits. He recently claimed, in responding to a reporter's question, that he would not touch Social Security, but fraud in the system was not off limits.

I expect this "fraud" that he speaks of will be presented to the American people as his justification for attacking the system. The problem, same as his protestations of a "stolen election" in 2020, will be that he produces no evidence whatsoever. To Trump and the Cult members, fraud is whatever he says it is,period, end of story.

So a word to those Americans receiving monthly Social Security benefits, prepare for monthly benefits to stop, for whatever reason Trump gives. If possible, save what you can and prepare for lean times ahead.

They have been receiving payments even if not for retirement. Medicare payments, other benefits too outside of the monthly checks they are known for.

There was a stop put to this about two to three years ago....but that laws is about to sunset and a permanent ban on paying dead people's medical bills and etc needs to be made permanent....and even the temporary law had opposition.

However, something is up with the department. If you need to visit them it takes hours in an office lobby....if you try to call them on the telephone it's a minimum 2 hour wait time.
If you have a disability claim, that is going to require 2 years of waiting before you get your first denial. Then lawyer up (if you can get one) and go back for a new hearing that might get you some money but it will require another 9 months minimum wait time.

And if you happen to die in the meantime due to your disability from lack of funds to treat your medical/mental health problem.... the case is closed and forgotten....until it's election time where you most certainly will vote for democrats long after you are dead.

Any sort of pension plan from Fidelity to Blackrock behaved in the same fashion as our Federal Government with respect to customer service, payment requirements, physical disability payments.....

They would have been eviscerated in EVERY media outlet, courtroom, and become a permanent slang term in history....

I kind of doubt, he will go after grandma and granddad's social security, they paid into. It is 56.2 Million people, with another 42,626,000 between the ages of 55 and 64, that likewise paid into the system, 74% to 79% being registered voters. It is doubtful, there would be another Republican elected anytime soon for national offices if grandma and granddad start losing their homes and living in the streets. It is an issue that would maximize voter turnout, usually something bad for Republicans. So, I just cannot see it happening.
