She is right though, radicalism exists on both sides and it isnt just about crime from the Right. They mock people who they deem "weak" or "woke, lefties" etc. It's far too simple to throw out terms. I'm not interested in communists either but you aren't going to unite a nation by simply throwing them away as not having endearing qualities.
THIS is what I think made Charlie popular with so many. He confronted them, changed minds and hearts. THAT is a very honourable approach. It made him a great deal of money sure, but he put in the work and had the fortitude to address the young. He knew what he experienced and wanted to help them, not throw them away.
One of the toughest guys I knew who was quite older than me was shooting the breeze with me in high school, he knew I was going through shyte but he surprised me when he told me something to the effect, out of nowhere really, "you know, it's ok to cry. Men cry not as a sign of weakness but as a sign of strength. It means you care about what is good in the world and will be stronger five minutes after"
It caught me off guard to hear that from him. I cried for the first time in years, bottled up emotions when I went back to my home after living on the streets for a few days. My dad hugged me for perhaps the only time I can remember and it was very out of character for him.
Anyways, Trump is going to have a great number of challenges with Russia, China and even allied countries suppressing free speech and the like. I pray he finds it in him to try and unite the country, even if it's not easy. The world is going to need a United States, not a divided one as the risk of WWIII is always around the corner.
