The properties are missing from a federal list of hotels approved for fire safety.

If Donald Trump becomes president, White House staffers won’t be allowed to stay in most of his hotels when they travel on government business.

Five of the six U.S. properties included in the Trump Hotel Collection are not on the federal government’s list of hotels and motels that have been approved as “fire safe” for federal employees. The Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago is the only property in that collection that is on the Hotel-Motel National Master List, a registry that the Federal Emergency Management Agency maintains for the purpose of ensuring that federal employees traveling on government business stay in lodging that meets certain basic requirements, such as having fire alarms and sprinklers.

Federal employees cannot be reimbursed for nights at hotels that aren’t on the list, nor are they allowed to spend money on conferences or events at properties that are not on the list.

How can this be? Trump touts all his stuff as being the greatest.

Both Solomon and Zubia raised the possibility that the Trump Hotels are simply too expensive for federal employees’ budget allowances, so it would be pointless for them to try to court federal employee business. The government’s General Service Agency sets the amount federal employees can spend per night in a given location at a specific time of year. For instance, the federal per diem for hotels in Las Vegas varies between $108 and $93 depending on the time of year.

Good. Check into one soon.

keep trying.
since the hotels have to pass individual state and local regulations, its pretty obvious that the hotels that pay for his name (that he does not actually own) are safe.

Just another lamo thread brought to you by that partisan hack Shittingbull.

These imbeciles get more desperate everyday.

Yes, they do have a specific per diem but hotels usually give a govt employee rate that meets those per diems if it can bring in a lot of business.

I haven't read the article yet, but I am surprised ALL HOTELS in every State, would not meet these safe standards?

They do.
but, they have to actually apply with the government in order to be listed. Not being listed only indicates that the hotels did not actively seek inclusion on the list.
That and the OP is once again being just a bit dishonest, those hotels lease Trumps name, he does not own them.

And now the facts:
Federal Government employees are issued with a list of approved hotels they are allowed to stay in while on government business.
NO Five Star Luxury Hotels are on ANY fucking list!.........unless that hotel is literally the only one available. These hotels are always in areas of the world where civil unrest is common. The federal employees are given a sizeable discount in these very rare circumstances.
There is not a single hotel owned by Trump that does not exceed every local fire and safety code.
Had you had the fucking brains to actually read the article you would have seen it supports Trump's hotels.
But we all know you're a fucking dummy.
Aren't you late for your shift at PP?

Obviously they meet their individual state standards or they'd be closed down. Who is to say the more stringent standards preferred by the federal government for its employees aren't overly protective and unnecessary?

NO state or federal government employee stays at ANY hotel/motel which isn't 100% approved for fire and safety.
Pocahontas is just up to her usual bullshit lies.
Anyone else notice they get bigger as she gets into her second bottle of 'firewater'?
It happens every day with her.
You can predict the most outrageous ignorant bullshit when she's riding the 'cotton pinto'.
Poor thing.

Pocahontas doesn't even know what a hotel is.
The closest she's come to one is a building that has a 'M' instead of a 'H'. That's behind the local truckstop.
It's called the 'In And Out' on her reservation.

We have abortion clinics that are federally funded that don't measure up with the same health safety standards as your average hospitals, yet are still allowed to be used under the cloud of "preserving women's rights" over health concerns. I simply don't see your point. Should we enforce standards and federal regulations or not?
