Look: Obama is a Marxist and an environmentalist wacko. He does not believe in oil. His own Secretary of Energy didn't even drive a car for Christ sake. Neither does Hillary.
To believe that Obama had anything to do with the surge in oil production during his Presidency, is sheer lunacy. How can anyone not believe the gas prices are dropping because of Trump's energy policies?
There is some control over production. A recent example is the Obama administration stonewalling pipeline construction out west. Actions like that cause inflationary pressure on the price.Prices of gas were high in the last part of Bush jr, you can't deny it..It was higher then it got under Oblama..The president doesn't control oil production or prices, he may influence it with strategic reserve sales, but their is no control over production and prices...I don't think so. Saddam Hussein does not control the near ME because of Bush.If that were true then the Bush jr admin got closer to the Oblama goal you claim...The administration of de-facto president Obama wanted to boost the price of gasoline in the USA to ~$8.00/gallon. They failed to even come close to that goal. Sure they certainly took steps to create inflationary pressure on the price of gasoline as part of their war against the USA but they did not achieve their goal.
In retrospect, in some ways the incompetence of the Obama administration was a good thing.
