The battle between politics and pop culture just took a legal turn. Donald Trump is suing Bruce Springsteen for defamation after the singer made some very harsh comments during his recent concert tour. This started as a fight over words and has turned into a legal battle that has sparked a national debate.

The lawsuit brings up questions about free speech, political criticism, and whether comments from celebrities can make things more exciting in court.

Bruce Springsteen is accused of making "false, malicious, and damaging statements" about Trump in recent interviews and during his 2025 concert tour, according to the filing, which was filed in federal court in New Jersey.

The lawsuit is the result of a sour public dispute between the two well-known individuals, whose ideological differences have always been apparent, that has been simmering for months.

I hope he pays big coin. Maybe a few million. Heck if the pillow guy has to pay so should he.

As Trump well knows, the process is the punishment. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy than Springsteen.

Bruce is definiteLY a STAGE 4+ TDS.

Saying OMB beats out the KKK takes the cake.

I started listening to Bruce over 50 years ago...his music just doesn't sound the same anyore.

BTW: I wonder how his million $$$ horses are doing vrs the hungry kids in the Hood !

A few million isn't enough. These "celebrities" create real, many times, totally false accusations that defame these politicians resulting in substantial harm, professionally, personally and financially. An example needs to be made. What's good for Alex Jones and the Pillow guy is good for all.

There is no debate. Bruce is right Trump is shit.

He has already cost himself millions in endorsements and canceled concerts.

He is very, very, VERY, rich.....so doesn't care about losing the income. BUT, if Trump makes him pay out of what he already has, watch him scream like the rest of the LEFTIST stuck pigs-) (Hey Rosie, want to come back and hold BRUCIES hand)

Trump is both a ***** and a dumbass. Suing Springsteen, absolutely ******* brilliant.

In particular, Springsteen's remarks on stage at his June 3rd performance in Philadelphia, where he called Trump “a conman who tried to hijack democracy and sell it back to us at a profit,” are cited by Trump's legal team. Springsteen reiterated his claims that Trump "represents the very worst of America's past dressed up as its future" in a subsequent interview with Rolling Stone, as per a report by Tempo de Conhecer.

The lawsuit claims that these statements were "knowingly false and intended to harm Mr. Trump’s reputation and influence," particularly during a period when Trump is actively campaigning for a 2028 reelection.

Are you kidding me? I mean right off the bat, wtf you mean running for reelection in 2028? But I mean you got to wonder about the intelligence of Trump and his legal team. I mean it is one thing to have Bruce onstage, at a concert where people paid to hear him sing, criticizing Trump. But now, well Trump and his team are giving Bruce a free stage in the US court system. If I were Bruce, and certainly a member of his legal team, I would be like 'bring it on hoss". It allows Bruce to prove his comments, prove Trump is a conman and is hijacking democracy and selling it back at a profit. Damn what a trial I would make it. And it would be at the top of the news cycle every single day.

First thing, Bruce needs to start a PAC so he can raise funds for his legal team. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he could get good representation for free, from volunteers. I would rain down on Trump, I would be calling all kinds of witnesses, requesting all kinds of records, phone records, transcripts, travel records. I mean Bruce's defense is, he is telling the truth. The court has to give him the ability to build a defense. To actually prove his allegation, and that he can do.

I mean who the **** is Trump's legal team anyway? I mean are they this stupid, or is it they just can't tell Trump no? Again, this goes to trial, albeit a civil trial, it is going to get ugly for Trump, and fast. It is going to be the lead news story every day it is going on. Not the type of story Trump wants to see rolling into the midterms. Again, who the **** is this lame ass legal team?

Look, Bruce is right, and it can be proven in court, definitely in Civil Court where the burden of proof is much lower. I mean why give Springsteen this platform? What the hell is the upside? I mean Trump's legal team has just broke Dad's rule number one. And believe me, like myself, he had few rules but they were non-negotiable. Rule number one, "Don't let your mouth overload your asshole".

I know you are a Trump fan, but come on. You got to call out a mistake when you see it. Back to that whole parenting thing, and I toy with the idea of writing a book about parenting. The title, "Pick Your Fights". This is a fight the Trump administration has no business picking. No upside, and huge downside risk.

Look, the Democrat party leadership, the "Deep State", whatever you want to call it. They are inept, totally dysfunctional. I laugh thinking about it. My daughters wanted me to go to a high school basketball game. One of them was a cheerleader. The opponent, my alma mater, and the High School my sons would attend. The girls school, city boys, tats, dregs, they are out there warming up and hooping it up. Dunks, showboat moves, they hopping it up. Then come my boys.

Yeah, they are all white. All with marine haircuts, and honest to God, almost all blond haired and blue-eyed, it is flippin scary. But when they hit the court they exhibited nothing but discipline. No individualism, a team, working as one. Oh, it was comical. I could hardly contain myself. The first quarter, the opponents never made it much past midcourt, the guards were picking their pockets. The fast breaks were textbook.

The point, Trump's legal team, and probably under Trump's direction, just opened up a ballgame that is destined to be just as one sided as the one I witnessed with my daughters. They are giving Bruce this opportunity, on a silver platter. I really don't think that is smart.
