You'll notice that they defend the fact that he's criticizing Swift and Springsteen. Sure, nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with responding.

But the only way he knows to do it is, as you say, childish. Ugly. Petty. It doesn't take much maturity or intelligence to do it in an adult way, but he's neither mature nor intelligent.
