Trump’s policies put a lot of emphasis on domestic manufacturing job growth at a time when Obama was writing them off. Automation has always and will continue to be a factor in manufacturing (has been the case since the industrial revolution) but should never be an excuse to cede or write off manufacturing to other countries.
