It very well have been a mistake to attack Iran like he did. I have no problem saying that.

That said, I also recognize Iran as being one of the few nations on earth that pose the most danger to the US, as they have been at war with the US since their revolution in 79. They have allied themselves with Russia and China, who pose the biggest military and economic threats to the US. They are also one of the very few countries on earth that supports the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.

They have oil, which makes them a global player in geopolitics, and it is oil that China and Asia depends upon. They also want a WMD, which would further make them a global player. However, the regime is perhaps the most religiously fundamentalist regime in human history, basing much of their geopolitics on their religious beliefs that Islam should challenge the US no matter the cost. They really don't care about wealth and life itself, as we see every day. In fact, the people of Iran should be enjoying one of the highest standards of living in the world, but 80% are living in poverty instead.

And I don't think they care when the US has taken out their leadership either because they are that dedicated to their death cult of Islam



Again, Trump is not wrong about assessing the danger Iran poses, but he may be wrong on what to do about it.

In the interim, you and your Marxist friends can all bask in the joy of watching Trump fail if he does.
