While most people will readily agree voter fraud exists, most also recognize it's rare....and not always "the other guy". It appears voter fraud is "rampant" in Des Moines since three suspects have been identified as voting fraudulently.

A Des Moines woman has been arrested on suspicion of voting twice this month in the general election, police and court records show.

Terri Lynn Rote, 55, was booked into the Polk County Jail about 3:40 p.m. Thursday on a first-degree election misconduct charge, which is a Class D felony.

Rote, a registered Republican, reportedly cast an early voting ballot at the Polk County Election Office, 120 Second Ave., and another ballot at a county satellite voting location in Des Moines, according to a Des Moines police report.

Rote was one of three voter fraud suspects reported to police Wednesday by the Polk County Auditor's Office.

It's the first time in 12 years that Polk County Auditor Jamie Fitzgerald can remember ever having to report potential voter fraud, he said Thursday morning.

The other two suspects are accused of casting mail-in ballots and also voting in person, according to police reports. As of Friday morning, neither of those suspects had been arrested.

The case is under investigation by Des Moines police.

4 people.

A lot more than four. Repubs have been gerrymandering, suppressing votes and stealing votes for a long long time.

Now we have Trump proudly braying that they are working hard to suppress even more votes.

Voter Fraud is very common. Arrests and prosecutions aren't.
Define " very common" as a percentage and with evidence please.

From what I've read, it's less than 2%, prosecuted when caught and has never been known to sway a state or national election.

Isn't Donald J Trump on the record Urging his faithful to vote twice...saying that as a supporter of his if they voted for him by absentee ballot they should go to the
polls and vote again....

George Soros-connected companies own many US Voting Machines. They're the same machines used in rigging Elections all around the world. It is what it is.

I don't know, but if he did, he's advising them to commit an illegal act.

It's a conspiracy??? Why haven't the Republicans fixed this? Could it be because it doesn't exist?

Such fraud happens, but is rare, and reports of misconduct are often overstated in the press and on social media.

The Government Accountability Office, in a report last year, acknowledged the challenge of making “a complete estimate of the incidence of in-person voter fraud,” but its review of five studies “identified few instances of in-person voter fraud.”

There are few prosecutions for any type of election fraud, even in a country where, in 2000, more than 105 million people voted for a presidential candidate. During the administration of President George W. Bush, the Justice Department pursued what was widely regarded as a crackdown on voter fraud. In the first five years, about 120 people were charged and 86 convicted.

News21, a reporting project affiliated with Arizona State University, found in 2012 that there had been 2,068 cases of fraud nationwide since 2000, including episodes of absentee ballot fraud, intimidation, vote-buying and double voting. In at least a quarter of the investigations, the authorities did not bring charges.

Ten of the cases reviewed by News21 involved voter impersonation, and most of those investigations led to plea agreements or guilty verdicts at trial.

That's kinda "rampant"

If you have a room with 10 voters in it.
Agreed. Less rampant if you have a state with 614,913 registered GOP voters and 239,872 registered Democratic voters.
According to my calculations....if every Democrat in that state can manage to vote 3 times....and according to Trump supporters, that is likely...you would then have "rampant" voter fraud.
True. OTOH, if pigs could fly you and I could become billionaires selling helmets.

With almost 20 million early voters, it is a statistical certainty that dead people will have voted come election day.
Is this voter fraud?
