Why aren’t they just as good? It’s weird that you think someone from Harvard is better then anyone else

I remember noting this back in the mid to late 90's when I first started getting on social media.
I had always assumed that the end result and the journey along the way, was the main thing, and nearly the only thing that mattered. If you became successful, and earned an above average income and an above average lifestyle, you were a success and deserved the respect that any other successful person has.
I soon realized that the left doesn't view it this way at all. 'Success' to them is a wall full of diplomas and trophies. I think it all stems from their own individual narcissism.
For me, 'success' is a family, its structure, and a comfortable lifestyle for all members of that family, that not only allows the solid lifestyle, but can easily afford to contribute to the community they live in, both in a monetary sense, but in a charitable one as well.
