No. All presidents have taken papers home with them.
The difference in this instance is that the incumbent president demanded them from the former president,
which is legal, but it's never been done before in the history of the US.
Biden had to demand documents from the former president claiming he needed them to do his job properly
in order to get this huge ball of shit rolling downhill. He didn't need the documents, this is a farce.
It's something that is unprecedented. (see what I did there?

Are you a lawyer or work in the legal trades? You sure don't sound like one. Yes, Biden had classified documents. Did he take them on purpose?? Did he deny having them? Did he refuse to return them?

The report says Biden also shared with Zwonitzer classified information on three occasions from notebooks Biden had compiled during his time in office. Biden then stored those notebooks in insecure locations, it says.
The report also says “the evidence shows convincingly” that Biden knew the notebooks contained classified information. But it also acknowledges that prosecutors would not be able to prove to a jury that the exact passages Biden read to the ghostwriter were classified.
The report notes that other presidents, including Ronald Reagan, took home notebooks or diaries containing classified information and were never prosecuted. And it says Biden believed he had a right to keep his own notebooks. So, it concludes, a prosecution would be difficult.

There are a dozen ways he could have those documents without "stealing" them.
"Stealing" is a clearly defined term wherein you knowingly take something that doesn't belong to you.
"the action or offense of taking another person's property without permission or legal right and without intending to return it; theft."

For starters, some of the classified documents found at Biden’s home dated backed to the time he was a Senator. So there is that, which is a pretty big thing.
Without even reading the article, let’s assume he did have the authority to declassify as VP. Are you saying that he had more far reaching authority than Trump? Why is he inocent and Trump is guilty? Seems as though we are back to the ole’ Biden is too old and forgetful to convince a jury that he had willful intent.

Try an experiment for us. Steal a car parked at the curb line. When you're pulled over and handcuffed, tell the arresting officer, "it was just an accidental theft. I"ll put it back".

How did Biden get classified documents out of a secure SCIF when he was a Senator? This is a place where people have to check their phones and can’t wear watches. It is a secure area. Are you suggesting that he accidentally took them somehow despite the security and then accidentally stored them in his garage? Are you suggesting that someone else took them and then he accidently took ownership? The problem is, Biden admitted that he had them to his ghost writer.
Trump was President. Biden was a Senator and a VP. There is an absolutely no question that Trump had higher declassification authority than Biden. Biden has ZERO when he was a Senator.
