So why does he endorse Collins, a radical hard core right winger with absolutely no chance of winning! It's simple! He knows he is going to get smoked in the mid-term elections, so why not endorse utterly repulsive candidates? Because he knows they will lose by large margins and he can claim those elections had to be rigged, so he can send the FBI and DOJ into those many states to try and seize ballots and voter information!

It's about the only play he has left to try and steal the mid-terms. And, instead of Republicans losing, Trump can claim, as is his wont, rigged elections!

Trump endorses whoever kisses his ass the most. Whether or not they can win never enters his mind, hence the reason he's given so many shitty endorsements in the general election and lost seats because of it.
