The child went home with its mother. The lie was that the child was deported.The mom could have left the child with its legally in the U.S. father, but she chose to take it away from the U.S.

We have 13 million (Low estimate) undocumented immigrants here.

Trump is only deporting about 12,000 a month.

That's his maximum capacity based on the number of officers he has, places to put them, and numbers other countries are willing to take back.

So even assuming no more people come (which is dubious) it would STILL take decades to send them all back.

Some of these people are going to end up staying. Seems to me that the woman with a sick child who is a US citizen should get priority.
