The president was in charge of the DOJ (when it came to Biden not releasing the Epstein files) So Trump is in charge of DOJ, deciding what the DOJ does, like telling Bondi to indict James and Comey.Trump played no role at all in where Maxwell served time. This decision was made by the Bureau of Prisons; made I believe because she suddenly became notorious and it was done to keep the prisoner's life from being taken by inmates.
And DOJ is in charge of the BOP. So Trump can decide where Maxwell is incarceratd.
And the claim, it's for Maxwell's protection, has it completely backwards. Housing in a low security prison, means there are few guards, and an open communal environment. So anybody who wanted to do Maxwell harm, can best do it in an FPC,
