Let's see: 50 years ago, the territories - currently under discussion (the West Bank and Gaza Strip) - were both occupied after the end of a military pursuit of hostile forces.

There are two International Treaties between the Jordanians and Egyptians that put the matter to rest; which dissolved the Armistice Agreements.
