Sounds kind of cruel to be honest. However, unlike Canada I presume you don't enforce a caste system and destroy citizens pursuit of happiness and contributions to the nations and their own economic success. So, you can generally pay for your existence.

That said, if Trump wants to win the MidTerms, he needs to find a way to get housing pricing down. Commercial and Blue Chip properties will always increase, but peoples home ownership for their dwelling must be attainable.

Second, how does it benefit a borrower to lend him money beyond his means to pay back?

How does it benefit the small lender either? Large lenders are more likely to find out independently if someone is a deadbeat who likes to rob hospitals than a smaller shylock.

$100,000 medical bill is beyond most people's means.

We as a country are $37 Trillion in debt and have little room to be calling others a deadbeat.
