Trump Announcement Regarding Autism Research

About 15 years ago, big pharma basically cured Hepatitis C. Did your wellness freaks ever do that? Did their colon cleanses and supplements cure a disease that causes liver failure and cancer?

Pesticides.

They won't talk about it because this administration is controlled by big Ag.
That probably is a plausible alternative. I suspect they are looking at it.

RFK Jr. has long been on the record as stating Monsanto is the “enemy of every admirable American value,” and vowed to “ban the worst agricultural chemicals already banned in other countries.”

RFK will do as he’s told and Trump won’t allow them to do anything to agriculture.

Easier to tell pregnant women they can’t take Tylenol. There isn’t any serious blowback for that. Most people will just ignore these freaks and listen to their doctors.

They won’t even think about banning pesticides. The Ag sector would collapse if they did.

This is just theatre. RFK Jr knows he just needs to look like he’s doing something.

100 times less than the US is your point???
Because they don't have the resources to actually diagnose it:

Autism experts who have studied Cuba note that the country "has autism too. Lots of it," but acknowledge that resources for comprehensive prevalence studies haven't been available due to economic constraints, according to Autism Spectrum News. Some sources have claimed Cuba has "100 times fewer diagnoses of autism" than the U.S., but experts suggest this reflects diagnostic limitations rather than actual lower prevalence, as reported by The Havana Times. The perception of lower rates stems from under-diagnosis and limited health care infrastructure rather than actual absence of autism.

Actually, Cuba has acetaminophen.

This says you need a prescription, there are frequent supply shortages, and it is expensive for most people...

So yes, it exists in Cuba, but not like in the US. Leftists spin everything. Sigh.

From Tylenol, 2017...

For all the people saying it's not Tylenol, what do you have that makes more sense? Nothing. The mockery of this important preliminary finding is very childish.

Tylenol has been available for 65 years and undergone hundreds of independent studies none linking it to autism.

Lot has changed in 65 years, to claim Tylenol is the link without any cause and effect findings is voodoo medicine

Autism was first identified in the early 20th century, with the first clinical descriptions appearing in the 1940s. Here’s a quick timeline of the key milestones:

🧠 Early Observations:
  • 1911: The term “autism” was first used by Swiss psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler, but not in the modern sense. He used it to describe a symptom of schizophrenia—self-isolation or being “withdrawn into oneself.”
🧒 1943 – Leo Kanner
  • Leo Kanner, an Austrian-American psychiatrist, published a landmark paper titled “Autistic Disturbances of Affective Contact.”
  • He described 11 children who had difficulty with social interactions, showed repetitive behaviors, and had resistance to change.
  • He called this condition “early infantile autism.”
  • Kanner is often credited with formally identifying autism as a distinct developmental condition.

👦 1944 – Hans Asperger:
  • Hans Asperger, an Austrian pediatrician, independently described a similar but less severe form of autism, later called Asperger’s syndrome.
  • His work remained relatively unknown in the English-speaking world until the 1980s.

.

The European studies always seem to be ignored in America.

My husband died because he was given a drug which, in ten year-old European studies, was contraindicated for use in the elderly.

.
Tylenol is the same a paracetamol which os widely taken in Europe... I don't think it is that...

But you are right about attitude to food in US compared to EU... In US you can sell it unless proven harmful, in EU you have to prove safe to sell it... A lot of this is down to the massive lobbying in US politics...

EU will not allow there own farmer stop to used steroids on cattle or Chlorine on their chickens. Eggs in Europe are not washed in chlorine.
"commercially sold eggs in Europe are not washed with chlorine or any other chemicals
. Instead of washing, European regulations mandate the vaccination of hens against Salmonella, allowing the egg's natural protective coating, or cuticle, to remain intact. This preserves the egg's natural defenses, making them safe for room-temperature storage, unlike U.S. eggs, which are washed and must be refrigerated"

This is as much a animal welfare issue as health issue...
The other big thing in Europe and ROW is farm to fork traceability. This doesn't exist at scale in the US as it does outside.

US producers complain that they are blocked out in exporting their food to these countries. EU like other point out that you can export to them if you follow their food and animal welfare standards..

Tylenol has been available for 65 years

As I stated in the post you are replying to, it has been available over the counter for 65 years. It has been available longer. But it came into widespread use in 1975.

and undergone hundreds of independent studies none linking it to autism.

See Post 7.

More importantly, do you understand that this thread exists because the NIH/CDC/FDA have taken a new look at the studies? Your statement is false. We'll be hearing more about it.

But get your advice from CNN if you want.
CNN's not funder by Big Pharma, are they? :-)

The medical community used to take these agencies seriously, but that’s not really the case anymore.

Neurology has been needing true researchers for a very long time. Complete with reproduced results.
So has psychology and psychiatry....again with results repeated by other independent researchers.

We also need a complete re-write of the DSM.

The brain and nervous system have been neglected by a HUGE margin for a long time and instead we keep getting the next diet pill or shot.

Meaning we need lots more research into endocrinology....not cancer, not heart....

But for things like Parkinson's, alzheimer's, diabetes, as well as some of these spectrum disorders.
Treatment is one thing....cures and prevention are another.

Cut off the AIDS research....put the money into less "acquired" diseases. Endocrine disorders are also on the rise...neurological disorders too.
Giving into these transvestite delusions or giving juveniles with bipolar disorder ADHD meds causes school shootings....

Some serious attention is needed in these fields.

Neurological disorders account for (depending on what/how you account them) 9-15% of the population's disabilities but only receives 7% of the research dollars available.

This despite receiving a 50% increase recently.

I have seen the “scientists” that RFK has appointed to those agencies
Of course they will take a new look and give conclusions RFK wants
