If Republicans get a supermajority, they’re going to push a national abortion ban. Agree or disagree? Some do. But after the defeats in some borderline States they are going to realize they have to temper their expectations.
Many more are like me who want some restrictions as I stated, at the State level. 10-15 weeks for birth control abortions.
They can push all they want, unless they get supermajorities of people who want to ban it, it's physically impossible for it to happen.
The SC justices who overturned Roe did just that, because Roe was shit law, based on nothing but the desires of the Justices who passed it. As bad as Plessey was in that regards.
Trump has made clear he would not sugnn such a bill
If Republicans get a supermajority, they’re going to push a national abortion ban. Agree or disagree?
Horseshit. Total horseshit.Overturning Roe allowed places like NY and CA to allow abortion up to the last second, just like you ghouls wanted.
Former President Donald Trump said Thursday that he believes abortion will be a “small issue” in the November elections now that the power to ban abortion is in the hands of state lawmakers, but added that he is open to federal restrictions on abortion that would “supplement” state policy.Trump has made clear he would not sugnn such a bill
Again, he takes credit for the repeal. Therefore, he is responsible for the fallout.Trump has ZERO to do with politics in Alabama.
Alabama was like that well before Trump even tried to run for office.
Nope. What the Democrats want is that abortion be up to the woman and doctor into the 8th, 9th month and immediately after the baby is born.
Yes or No?
So you expect me to believe that a super majority of Republicans would not pass a national abortion ban because the Republicans who are not “hard core” would stand up and defend abortion rights. It would have to be all hard core pro-lifers, and in that situation that means the majority of the country would want a ban.
A large supermajority. Enough to pass an Amendment to get it. At that point you are then on the small minority side opposing it.
Wrong. There are more single who-ers who have as their only issue the right to kill their baby than decent people suspected.
Haha trump has stayed he will not sign any national abortion ban.Former President Donald Trump said Thursday that he believes abortion will be a “small issue” in the November elections now that the power to ban abortion is in the hands of state lawmakers, but added that he is open to federal restrictions on abortion that would “supplement” state policy.
Trump says abortion will be a ‘small issue’ in November, leaves door open to federal restrictions
Donald Trump suggested in a news conference Thursday that he is open to curbing access to abortion pills through federal regulations, declining to rule out a sweeping move that some antiabortion allies have advocated.
Trump suggests he’s open to revoking access to abortion pill
Wrong.
There are millions of women who would never have an abortion who are pro-choice.
100 percent of the leadership and 80 percent of the members.how many and which ones?
Boy are you in for a surprise!I have
When 100 percent of the leadership and 80 percent of the members tell him to, he will.Haha trump has stayed he will not sign any national abortion ban.
Horseshit. Total horseshit.
Abortion is legal in New York through 24 weeks. Thereafter, abortion is legal when the fetus is not viable or when necessary to protect the patient's life or health.
Abortion is legal in California until fetal viability. Thereafter, abortion is legal if a physician certifies that continuation of the pregnancy poses a risk to the pregnant person's life or health.Loading…

LoL, ok.
100 percent of the leadership and 80 percent of the members.
That's a supermajority. Bigly.
It’s no longer a federal issue so there’s no need to even talk about it. If you want to discuss abortion go talk to your state reps.Trump seems to understand that abortion is a losing issue for Republicans but he is wrong, it's going to be a big deal still.

I argued the Republicans should have sided with Roberts. I believe he went with a 20 weeks ban which would have fit an updated RvW timeline. Viable.
Premature babies are now routinely viable at 22 weeks. 21 in some cases so 20 would have gave the benefit of the doubt.

What we got is an increase in abortions.

If Trump didn't want abortion to be a major issue in this years election he shouldn't have picked a guy that has made such creepy policy proposals over abortion.
JD Vance called for ‘federal response’ to block women from traveling for abortions
