And he gave up his run very quickly when he was unable to get any traction at all. He was a prominent speaker at the RNC convention where he warmly and unequivocally endorsed Trump to be the next President of the United States. And he has been so often solicited for commentary on television this past year, I suspect he will have some sort of role in the Trump administration. At least I hope so.Explain that.
He was running against him.
I hope there's a place for Nikki Haley too as she is again fully on board with Trump. She was an excellent U.N. Ambassador but may not want to go through that meat grinder again. But her talents can surely be used somewhere.
Trump has never ever been vindictive toward those who oppose him, however insulting his rhetoric might be. And he has always been very quick to forgive and forget whenever fences can be mended as obvious with Ted Cruz, Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis et al.
Those closest to him testify that Trump solicits opinions from everyone in the room and there are no repercussions for those who disagree with him. There are repercussions for those who don't do their jobs and/or dishonorably work to undermine the MAGA agenda as well there should be.
