“Trump has stirred controversy with remarks about Gold Star families and his ongoing criticism of football players who kneel during the national anthem.” ibid

Unwarranted, reprehensible attacks on, and lies about, Gold Star families.

Trump’s ‘presidency’ has reached a new low.

I am "THE NEW LOW" ... so low my ass crack is now right under my chin.

Looking at the RCP average of polls, one sees that Trump's actually below 40%. His performance on other measures also, on average, has been running well below the discrete figures cited in MSN's article.
  • Economy --> 45.2% approval, not the 50% MSN cites.
  • Foreign Policy --> 36.6% approval; MSN's article doesn't cite a specific figure

From the referenced article:
"The president gets his lowest marks - 38 percent - on his ability to administer the government."

The one thing he is supposed to be excellent at doing given his experience running Trump Organization is where his polling figures are the worst. Indeed, Trump's lack of real operational management acumen has been made manifest repeatedly. Two recent examples -- his failing to act proactively to ensure that aid was immediately on hand following Maria and his bungling of his role in condolence call/letter process so much that, on the day Trump claimed otherwise, it turned out that for at least 20 Gold Star families absolutely no expression of sympathy had been made by Trump/the WH -- are the kinds of things that, for a skilled executive, weren't hard to have made sure they happened with aplomb. And let's be honest, for both those processes, there really is nobody else to blame for their perfunctory conduct.
