Nope. The cause is an illness what kind is still being researched. Is it a defect in the brain? Someone with anorexia sees themselves as grossly fat. We do not put them on diets. Legitimate doctors do not amputate the healthy limbs of those with body integrity disorder. We don't remove eyeballs or hearing. We try to help these individuals.

I saw interview on TV between Christine Jorgensen, and Dave Susskind back in the day. It was a very rare kind of perversion for a man like Mr. Jorgensen to want to have his penis amputated. Jorgenson waited until he was a grown man and came back from WWII because he had his sex changed.

Now, kids are being encouraged to transform their genders as its all the rage.

If you've done a little reading on the subject, listen to experts, and understood Biology, these folks doing things to their genitals makes perfect sense. Bottom line, because I'm not going to give you a lecture on the subject, you need to research the answers for yourself, It begins in the brain, from the womb. The simple elementary explanation is that the brain decides the sex based on various chromosome configurations. Except, occasionally, the brain becomes confused and never makes that decision. That is the beginning of the understanding process. It's up to you to take further steps, if you really want to understand, or at least recognize that there could be a Biological explanation. Most people who are hard core haters of gays or Transgenders will never do any research on the subject. So to spend time trying to educate them on the subject is a waste of time. You have to be willing to try and understand what is really going on, not just hate what you don't understand.

Well you assume that I hate transgenders, but you'd be wrong. Why would I hate them?

So the brain becomes confused? Sounds like a disorder. Why is saying the word "DISORDER" so "bad"? When did saying that someone has a disorder become hate speech?

It is more than anguish. When an anorexic looks in the mirror the person sees someone grossly fat. It's not real. That person may be near death. He or she still sees someone morbidly obese. When a transgender looks in the mirror that person doesn't see themselves. They see a powerful man or graceful woman. It's no more real than the blubber seen by the anorexic.

That's not quite so. Many people with gender identification disorder are able to cope and lead fairly normal lives. For those that can't, counseling is the preferred method of treatment. If that fails, psychotherapy, hormone therapy, surgery, etc becomes an option. However, these options can be expensive even with insurance.

It's actually a section of bowel. The male to female surgery uses the penis to form the vaginal canal. Jazz has been on hormones since he was 11. His penis never developed. Other tissue had to be used. They used a section of bowel. This tissue will produce mucosa which will have an odor, like bowels.

Indeed. The reason I ask is that I know of a couple who sent their daughter off to college. Before that, she was never a Tom Boy, no inclination of being gay or having emotional problems, but when at college stopped calling home. When she finally came home, the parents noticed that her face was riddled with acne, presumably from the hormone therapy, and her breasts were gone. Her voice was noticeably lower, and she did not seem herself and would not talk to her parents. The parents, obviously concerned, called the school about her and was told that they had no legal authority to delve into her private affairs, that is, after being $40,000 in the hole for her "education".

It reminds me of people who enter a cult and are cut off from their families, that sort of mental anguish. And trust me, going into any major university is like entering a Left wing cult.
