There have been lots of Republicans arrested on sex charges unrelated to Epstein's crimes.
I don't know how you missed. But I guess Fox doesn't report on those things.
- R.J. May (South Carolina State Representative): May was arrested in June 2025 and charged with 10 counts of distributing child sexual abuse material. Prosecutors allege he used the screen name "joebidennnn69" to exchange files of children involved in sex acts online. He has since resigned from office and agreed to a guilty plea.
- Justin Eichorn (Minnesota State Senator): Eichorn resigned from the Minnesota Senate in March 2025 after being charged with attempting to solicit sex from a minor during an undercover police sting operation. He had represented a heavily Republican district in northern Minnesota since 2016.
- Ray Holmberg (Former North Dakota State Senator): Holmberg, who served in the state legislature for 45 years, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in March 2025 for traveling to the Czech Republic to engage in commercial sex with children and for possessing child pornography.
- Cecil Brockman (North Carolina State Representative): Brockman, who is a Democrat, was arrested in October 2025 on multiple child sex crime charges, including indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape.
These are a few examples among a broader list of public officials and candidates from various political affiliations who have faced accusations or legal action regarding sexual misconduct. Comprehensive databases tracking legislator misconduct are maintained by non-partisan organizations like
GovTrack.us and academic institutions.
