Crocodile takes IT worker Sean Cole at birthday party on Mary River
POLICE have recovered the body of 26-year-old Sean Cole at the Mary River after he was attacked by a crocodile.
Search and Rescue co-ordinator, Senior Constable Wade Rodgers of the NT's Water Police Section, said police recovered the body at around 5.30am (CST) in the area of where he was last seen.
Mr Cole, an IT worker from Darwin, was taken by a massive crocodile while swimming across the Mary River during a birthday camping trip at the weekend, The Northern Territory News reports.
Mr Cole and a friend swam to the middle of the muddy Mary River and were heading back when the saltie lunged at the pair taking one of the men below the surface.

One simply cannot, cannot, swim in rivers in the northern half of Australia.
Or swim in rivers anywhere in the nation really...if crocodiles don't kill you then the undercurrents and debris will probably get you.
Not a good idea to go anywhere near river banks in croc territory either...croc, he ly under water with his eyes open watching and waiting to pounce.
He motors out of the water at 60kph...there is no escape.
