Some Democrats are already making moves that have stoked 2028 speculation, from California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s podcasts to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (N.Y.) recent series of rallies alongside Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).
It’s almost three years before the first primaries will be held, but here are The Hill’s initial rankings of the 2028 Democratic contenders.

1. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.)

2. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro

3. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer

4. California Gov. Gavin Newsom

5. Maryland Gov. Wes Moore

6. Former Vice President Kamala Harris

7. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker

8. Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg

9. Former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel

10. Media commentator Stephen A. Smith

Comment:
None of them are mainstream.

Pritzker is a billionaire oligarch; I thought that they hated them.
Buttigieg is incompetent.
Harris is dumb and a drunkard.
Emanuel is untrustworthy; "You never let a serious crisis go to waste."
Newsom has wrecked California.
Whitmer is even goofier than Harris, and that is hard to do.
Even Harris rejected Shaprio.
Who is Wes Moore?
Who is Stephen A. Smith?
AOC is my dream candidate because of all of the good jokes

That AOC heads the list and is more and more presumed the leader of the Democrat Party is all you need to know about how thin the bench the Democrats have.

Numbers 1, 3, 5 & 6 are good.

The rest can go take a hike.

What about the DEI Biden Sock Puppet? She hits all the check boxes. A brown, lesbian, idiot. If Kamala wasn't the one, maybe she is? :D

If they're still pro-war against Russia then they will have an edge over Trump and his antiwar supporters.

That is, unless Trump turns to being prowar too, or something else happens to upset his plan.

So nice that the Crown and G.B. are telling our left what they need to think. I don't even think this guy is a citizen TBH.

Here he is commenting on the left politics with Amber Duke.

He's too much of a centrist for me.

Besides, the days of someone beholden to the State of Israel is over.
Interesting. So, you 're in the school that believes the lesson from the 2024 election is that your party need to go further left and not to the center.

Tell me something and be honest.

Has the Republican Party ever been told, expected to or even pretended to go to the center instead of further to the right?

Sure, 2024 election. Immigration, debt, spending, boys on girls teams, Ukraine, Hamas ... are all centrist positions.

Odd you should write this.

My father and I have, most of our life, vehemently disagree on politics.

. . . he made the comment during our family Easter, that the DNC is too liberal, which is why they lose.

I had to correct him and say, well, I disagree. . . I AM A LIBERAL, which he knows to be true. I told him Trump, Elon, RFKjr. and Tulsi all identify as liberals. . . the DNC has decided to just give up the ghost to the socialists and communists.

The DNC is the party that has moved, not the republicans.

The fact that they trot that out as the best may be the best joke yet.
