Mississippi Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson, who is also a ranking member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, has put forth a bill that would strip felons of Secret Service protection, in a move that some see as a preemptive strike against Donald Trump who faces more than one criminal trial.

The bill would only affect an individual whose crime "is punishable for a term of imprisonment of at least one year."

"Nobody should have special treatment, and that happens to include the former president," Thompson said.

Noble Park in Paducah, had a day, when I was a kid, you could trade bread wrapper for tickets on the rides. It was either Wonder Bread or Bunny Bread. I don't remember. But in the parade down broadway in Paducah, when John F Kennedy was running for President, the local bakery or possibly distributor of Wonder bread was throwing small sample loaves with maybe 6 slices to the crowd lining Broadway. Kennedy was sitting atop the back seat of a convertible, waving to the crowd. I was not at all political at 6 years old, but loved any parade, where they were throwing anything out to the kids.

They will take away his protection if they're allowed to get away with it. Trust me.

The legal actions against him are pretty much the same as those two impeachments. They sounded good when explained by Democrats, but turned out to be a whole lot of nothing.
Every one of them is not only based on legal falsehoods and extremely novel in their approach but may lead to establishing legal precedence that will not be good for this country.
When you start bringing indictments against someone to keep them from running for office then you're essentially destroying the democratic process.
