Toll Roads - Government Greed at it's worst

Bullshit.

Well, that's what they did in Kansas, dude. Kansas cut taxes, erased a surplus, created massive deficits, and closed those deficits by raiding the highway fund, closing schools early, increasing tolls and user/access fees, increasing tuition costs for state colleges, increasing co-pays and co-insurance for Medicaid patients, and raiding the welfare block grant. It's been well documented. Pay attention.

There's PLENTY money flowing into government hands. MORE than plenty. It's just wasted on luxuries for privileged elected officials, corruption, unnecessary welfare benefits to the undeserving and handouts to favorites.

This is a familiar, general, vague refrain that you hope casts you as some sort of spendthrift when the reality is that most of the waste comes from low taxes that supposedly create growth but never do.

Another one who's never been in the mayors office or council chambers of medium to large towns and cities and seen the spending on lavish unnecessary luxuries.. I guess you missed those photos of that IRS official who posted photos of himself sipping champagne in a bubble bath in a luxury hotel all paid for by taxpayers while on "official business". Last I heard, he kept his job. They blow through tax revenues like an addicted celebrity blows through cocaine.

More is wasted on tax cuts for the rich that never trickle down.

Conservatives say government is the problem, then get elected and prove it.

Point out one failure to try to justify comprehensive democrat failure as policy.

One failure? Problem is that Kansas' model is the one currently working its way through the conference committee. The Kansas model has been the standard Conservative model for 40 years. It has never once delivered on any of the promises made of it. McConnell even said of the Kansas model in 2012 that "it's what we want to do here [in Washington] but can't, for now".

I'm sure Kansas could have cut plenty of waste to accommodate need.

Kansas did cut spending, and the result was an even worse economy. So bad were the trickle-down tax cuts that Republicans voted to repeal them this past spring.

The gov steals highway fund money.

Conservative governments do, like the one in Kansas that raided the Highway Fund because the tax cut created deficits that weren't filled with trickle-down revenue as promised.
Currently the proposed fixes for the Highway Fund is raising the gas tax 50%. A mile usage tax which would require computer tracking and loss of privacy. Increasing the amount of toll roads, and a mile usage tax with a twist that has different rates based on time and the anount of traffic. Then there is Trumps plan of using 167 billion in tax credits to fund it which makes absolutely no sen se. These a

Where does the money come from? At some point you have to realize that government produces nothing. Reducing government can only result in more money for the producers. Where the dysfunction results is somewhere else. You need to figure that out.

Government produces plenty, and government spends directly into the economy. Tax cuts never get spent in the economy. All they do is create deficits. Even toddster admitted that tax cuts reduce the amount of money the government has...ergo, tax cuts create deficits.

Government produces NOTHING. It's a middle-man, a facilitator, overhead.
The more efficiently it can be run, the lower the taxes. The lower the tax burden, the more money people have to spend and create demand.

Government isn't an insurance company. Government produces most of the scientific research that is then commercialized. Government produces infrastructure that creates the environment for the economy to grow. Capitalism cannot succeed without a strong government to manage it. The less the government manages it, the worse the economy does. That's been the pattern and why Democratic Presidents always have better growth (either GDP or employment, or both) than Republican ones over the last 40 years.

Of course. But you don't seem to know what "efficiency" means. And that's because you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, so you use these vague, general terms to posture.

The first toll road in Houston (Beltway 8) was suppossed to be free after it was paid for.
I'm sure everyone can guess what happened.
Get used to it. The Highway fund will be empty in two years if we leave things as they are. Roads are not free and some one will have to pay Gas consumption is down and like stated by some one before we raid the fund. We need some grown ups in Governement soon or our roads will not be funded.

The roads in Houston were just fine before toll roads.

The Real Story behind the Kansas Tax situation.

In TYPICAL LEFTIST STYLE, the Left (ALL the Lame Stream Media) TWISTED this into what they WANT people like Derp to believe. And in their eagerness to serve the Democrat Plantation, they eat it up like Rosie O'Donnel in a cookie store.

Once again...the LEFT makes a grand mess then blames the right. What a New Story.
Besides, only a true moron still believes the waste product fake news that MSNBC, HuffnPuffPost, NYT, ABC, NBC, CBS etc vomit out of their "news" rooms anymore.
But then there are some REALLY gullible Lefties out there. (Most of them)

It's an opinion.....but.....READ!!!!!

People who defend bigger government and call it "fair" are dangerous people. Not because of what they know, but because of what they DON'T know and are so gullible and easily persuaded.

Think about it......

The US Constitution's PRIMARY purpose is to LIMIT the power of the Federal government.

Yet these people prove they have no knowledge of nor regard for the US Constitution because they constantly herald Big, Powerful, all controlling government as their choice of trusting themselves to completely.

These folks, are the same people who are turning in their fellow countrymen in Venezuela to Government forces today in exchange for tablespoons of sugar. Same as in Cuba. Some people don't deserve a place in a free society because they don't appreciate it and ignorantly fight to destroy human liberties..

The national debt has multiplied over twenty times since the reagon tax cuts on the wealthy. So keep telling us how tax cuts for the rich work.

Sounds like a ronald reagan fan club here, 'government is not the solution but the problem' etc. All b.s. of course. We went from being a creditor nation to a debtor nation under the great one.

Ya, he brought down the wall. I will give him that but killed the nations finances!

The ONLY thing Leftist jackwagons have proven (once again) is that they excel at swallowing ANY and ALL bullshit their Plantation Masters tell them too.

They want Trump to fail so badly, if the media told them jumping off a tall building would destroy Trump, most would do it.
