Russia is a net exporter of oil and natural gas, so can't hit them there.
Russia has reserves of most strategic minerals, can't hurt them there.

Stopping oil and gas imports in the fall would ruin Europe, can't hurt them there.

French President Emmanuel Macron echoed such remarks.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Trump had opened the door to a resolution but noted complicated next steps. “Let’s try to put pressure on Russia,” he said, advocating a cease-fire to emerge from whatever meeting comes next. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said a top priority in addition to ending the war was returning Ukrainian children held in Russia.

The Russian military is already imposing its will on Ukraine, despite the massive losses.

The purpose is to resolve the problem- not to cripple millions of people over two continents just to stick it to President Trump by pushing him into a war.

BTW, Trump is a little bit too smart for that shit from the Biden Devotees.
