It's hard to be pure when briefcases full of cash start showing up on your desk. Fear not, politicians are loosing their grip. In just the last few years we the people have been flexing our muscle and they are scared shitless. Hence their push to give amnesty and the vote to millions of illegals to cancel out the vote of these uppity Americans.

Just in case you want a serious answer, the bottom line is that Delta is right. Here is a simple example. Medicare is the single largest purchaser of pharmaceuticals in the world. The US government spends hundreds of millions of dollars per month on pharmaceuticals. Yet, there is a law that Medicare can not negotiate with pharmaceutical companies on prices. They simply must pay, or make Medicare covered people pay, whatever price these companies decide to charge. In EVERY case, these prices are more than people in foreign countries pay.

Now, this is, of course, totally absurd. One would think that people would not stand for it. It is equivalent to the government going on a car lot and paying list price on all their vehicles. But the truth is that that pharmaceutical companies are among the biggest political contributors by industry in the USA.

So, if you want that law changed, it is easy. Just tell congress that you will contribute more to their campaign than pharmaceuticals will contribute.

(13) Upgrade and repair our rundown infrastructure
(14) Put American back to work, producing what America uses and consumes
