I have heard my grandparents, parents jokingly use the phrase "government efficiency", well that is not exactly complimentary. Contrasting the joking about "government efficiency", make no mistake about it, if our federal government wants to accomplish a task in record time, there is a real good chance it will be done; they can find true efficiency when needed. I believe it is time to for the Trump administration to designate the far-left as enemies of the state and a threat to national security. Orders need to be made to have 24 hour a day, 7 days a week upgrading Alcatraz to being completely secure within 4 months. This can be done. I could care less if the conditions are inhumane, these sub-humans on the far-left should never be mistaken for real human beings to being with, not to mention they are absolutely inhumane. Inhumane conditions for an inhumane form of life would be fitting. Round up the far-left organizers, including the Soros family, Bill Gates and a multitude of other radical left scum and throw them in Alcatraz. Forget heating, warm water, etc. make it like it was before it closed. I have visited Alcatraz several times and know what it would be like to be imprisoned there, and it would bring a big smile to my face knowing radical left-wing scum would be there suffering. The radical left wants anyone who disagrees with them to be dead. Alcatraz would be a perfect place for them to suffer, and make sure we hire brutal, nasty prison guard to routinely beat them for the slightest reason.

You and I are not going to completely agree on this, perhaps we can meet somewhere down the middle. You are correct, it is fictional. Where I am correct, there is still gun violence and murder in the movie. Where we SHOULD both agree: the actors/actresses are still alive. However, the characters the played either killed or were killed. Getting back to my point, gun violence and murder has been glorified in these types of movies.

When it comes to these types of movies, I have seen a few, and a few of them is enough for me to see it as they are all pretty much the same line: good guy gets wronged by bad guy, then good guy exacts justice and ends up killing more people than the bad guy did. These types of movies are boring, and flat out a waste of my time, you don't learn anything from them what-so-ever.

My interests are in the culinary world. As for what I watch on TV, it is culinary shows, I am really hoping that a new season of New Scandinavian Cooking comes out, as well as I am really hoping Diane Kochilas decides to do season #5 of My Greek Table. I also like watching The History Channel. As for if I could be an actor in a movie, I would not want to have anything to do with being in one of those lame violence movies, and speaking of those movies, I can honestly say I have no idea who the big name actors for them are now, that is how ZERO my interest is in those movies. If I could play a role, I would like to play the role of Nikola Tesla, or perhaps the role of Webster Clay Ball, who is largely unknown, but played an important role in history. Webster Clay Ball was the founder of Ball Watch Co. So what about Webster. In 1891 aboard a train named the Toledo Express, an engineer’s watch was running four minutes’ slow. They were aware they had to give way to a passing fast mail train, but didn’t know they were running behind schedule. Near Kitpon Station west of Cleveland, the mail train spotted the slow-moving Toledo Express too late, and no amount of braking could prevent the incoming catastrophe. So, just what is one of the same old same old violent movie going to teach you as opposed to what a movie/documentary in the theatres about Webster C. Ball would teach you.

In conclusion, I agree with your fact that the movies I mentioned as fiction, but I hope you see my view of where the gun violence etc is still being committed in the movie.

Long strings of free form flaming mingling with abundant and over-used memes can be conversational, however the end result has gotten to the point where it resembles the interior of a microwave that hasn't been cleaned for months.

Seguing onto the microwave analogy: I agree that the blobs of grease mingling with dried bits of rice, chili, soup and spaghetti spatter do produce an interesting pattern in the microwave – let me remind you, this does not constitute art. Neither do...

Except in the movies, everyone who Indy kills is either trying to kill him and/or is a Nazi.

Now, that said, it's fiction. We all laughed when Indy shot Sword-Weilding Guy, but then we never got to see Sword-Weilding Guy's family afterwards. "Papa was just showing off his sword twirling skills and the mean man with the funny hat shot him!" We never got to see the Stormtroopers' families, either, in Star Wars.

For me, the movies are escapism.

When it comes to these types of movies, I have seen a few, and a few of them is enough for me to see it as they are all pretty much the same line: good guy gets wronged by bad guy, then good guy exacts justice and ends up killing more people than the bad guy did. These types of movies are boring, and flat out a waste of my time, you don't learn anything from them what-so-ever.

I don't disagree, I'm usually not watching a movie to "learn something". I'm watching a movie to be entertained and be taken out of the real world for a couple of hours where I don't have to think about my job, or the state of the world.

But to each his own.
