Why not just stop giving illegal immigrants taxpayer money? wouldn't that make more sense than spending taxpayer money to build a wall whose effectiveness is questionable and whose costs are inflated by inherent government inefficiency and graft?

After all one of the biggest sources of illegal immigration is people over staying Visa's and a wall isn't going to help with that, in fact the most likely result of a wall is MORE illegals following that route since it's safer, easier and often cheaper than running the border.

We don't want Mexican Meth and Afghani Heroin, or Asian Fentanyl in this country. We don't want Islamic Radicals allying with Mexican Drug Cartels or Terrorists coming across the border. We don't want illegal aliens draining our Social Services funds so we can't help retirees who have paid in to the system.

If the Dems don't join with th GOP in the Senate, there will be no bill
to send to the President.

Thus no veto and Schumer gets blamed for the shutdown.

Dems are going to have to compromise on something late, late
tonight or they will own this shutdown.
