I'd say so. States have largely established their own minimums, based on their own politics and circumstances.
The current minimum is just about a dead letter, as few earn at that level in 2025.
Closing up the Wage and Hour Division would free 1,700 people to do something else. Maybe work in the fields to replace the illegals being deported, just thinking?
