We would have to treat women with criminal assault if they engage in any activity that might endanger the development of the fetus, including smoking or drinking.

You've never heard Blacks being referred to as sub-human? Not fully evolved? You weren't around to listen to White Democrats during desegregation. I strongly suspect much of the same was said during slavery days.

Non viable persons can be killed now? Like people on a ventilator recovering from surgery? No. Not so.

Its arguable that a zygote isnt a person. No brain waves = no life is how we consider a norm person dead. So that is arguable.
