Thousands of anti-Trump protesters expected to walk off the job Tuesday
19 Jan 2026 ~~ By Brian Niemietz

Tens of thousands of workers are expected to leave work early Tuesday to protest the one-year anniversary of President Trump’s second inauguration.
Nearly 40,000 people RSVP’d to participate in a 2 p.m. Free America Protest, according to Axios.
'Free America' encourages demonstrators to meet Tuesday wearing red, white and blue in locations including Central Park, Prospect Park, Washington Square Park and Trump Tower in Midtown. At least 800 events associated with that movement are slated for what’s shaping up to be a frigid afternoon in New York City.
“This is not a request. This is a rupture. This is a protest and a promise,” Free America says on its website.
Event organizers are also encouraging students to leave their classrooms to join marchers objecting to the Trump administration’s first year in office, which has included federal law enforcement being deployed in U.S. cities and unprovoked aggression toward longstanding allies.

Commentary:
The temperature is 21 degrees in NYC as I write. I doubt if there will be many New Yorker working people venturing out or gathering together to protest in Central Park today. In New York City? Not freakin likely.
The Contributor to the NY Daily News is making some wild assumptions.
Does anyone remembering the same thing occurring during the Alzheimer riddled Biden administration...

Fire them all! Put it on the students record truant! Although most left wing colleges would see it as a plus!

As their "free America" protest. We are free. We freely voted for Trump and he's doing and excellent job. If America wants to continue being "free," the voters should not vote for Marxism, which is what the left is now.

Maybe I'll take a half-day off to honor President Trump's historic inauguration and wildly successful first year in office!

Tens of thousands of workers will be protesting "affordability" on Wednesday after they've been terminated for walking out the day before.

Perhaps your time would be better spent getting a prescription for Olanzapine.

Fire protesters? in America does that not fall under Freedom TO EXPRESS your views?
Do YOU WISH TO LOSE YOUR RIGHT to express your own view?

How many private companies have freedom of speech clauses in their codes?

Private companies are not the federal government, Genius.

I think that's the perfect way to protest: don't work. Quit. That sums up Democrats perfectly.
