It's a valid method in times of war. However, they could be opening Pandoras Box, that's the problem. Above and beyond what I post below, don't forget that China is the manufacturing hub for the world. This could have given them some ideas.

Also, I don't have access to the details of exactly how much information they had. For instance, GPS which they might have been able to pick up somehow through a test call to the pagers to know their location.

The reason I raise this concern is I considered the danger if one of these terrorists were on a commercial airplane flying to another city. That would have been devastating to Israels reputation to such a degree that there would have to be resignations or even worse.

So as I said, "any means necessary" doesn't work for me except in the most extreme of cases. One has to analyse the fallout and the risks geopolitically, militarily, economically etc. before employing extreme measures.

That's why I'm on the fence about these methods. Creative yes and it will cause Hezbollah to pause before they attack. However, if they didn't have the location details of the thousands of pagers, I can't say this was not without extreme risks.

It was amusing to hear these islamistss bitch and moan about this after what they did on Oct 7, 2023. Western Terrorist supporters ignore the fact that if hamas hadn't pulled that atrocity their balls would not be exploding. Israel targetted terrorists and Martyr recruiters(cause they sure aren't gonna off themselves) WHILE hamas raped, tortured, mutilated, burned and murdered innocent helpless babies, children and women AND men.

And the Hungarians saboteurs were paid with American, French, and UK dollars.

If Hezbollah lit off a bunch of bombs meant to target active duty and reserve members of the IDF (but not checking to see who was around when they exploded), and thousands of random innocent people were wounded, you would call that???

Terrorism.

Why are so many Americans supporting this outrageous act of terrorism? My guess is because their dumb.

The low death toll indicates the explosives were designed to maim the holder of the pager and not enough for killing innocent bystanders or damaging anything other than the bearer.

Would you have preferred the Israelis have been able to track their locations using GPS and targeted their locations with guided munitions, killing thousands of bystanders instead of the target.

The attack was brilliant and will go down in history as one of the most innovative uses of technology to stifle terrorists.

You fucking up the facts. As always.

Excellent use of technology, no matter the target. If your kid was playing with your pager, whose fault would that be? If it blew up your nightstand, whose fault would that be? If your kid had their head in your crotch, and your pager blows up, that's just plain damned bad luck.

So quit out sourcing to the vermin already.

Just how many bricks have to fall on our heads before learning the lesson?

I thought the programmed missiles that looped back on their terrorist launchers was pretty cool, too.

I honestly had not heard that yet. Where did you hear that?

It was some years ago. Either the U.S. or Mossad slipped some rigged hand held missiles into their supply chain that were programmed to loop back on the launchers.

They would call it acceptable, just like some on here saying we got what we deserved, on 911.

No doubt you find this heroic. Dumb fuck!

Neither of us know enough at this point. If a guy has a window seat while on a plane this could potentiallly lead to at least a hole in it. I will reserve judgement until more is known if ever, though the unexpected clips of the explosions.which were shown in the news coverage did appear to show a small radius. It was a creative means to neutralize enemy combatants but there is a greater risk to Israel if not planned properly and.something tragic and unexpected did go wrong. The Mossad are known as effective but also too willing.to be reckless. They had improved that image over the last decade or so. I just hope they dont take the bait of their worst intelligence failure in history (some might say that happened in 1973 but regardless) by doing more harm to Israel than good. Get the bad terrorists and enemy.combatants and serve justice, that's what happens in war. Don't lose the plot though
