this too is wonderful

I love most Star Trek, but was NOT interested in this one in the least.

I read online recently, that SO many Star Trek legacy actors have declared this such a severe blow to the Star Trek franchise, that it could literally end it.

But then I read that because of this piece of filth, that the entire Star Trek branch of Paramount is in the beginnings of "rethinking" Star Trek and how to proceed.

Yes, they still plan to make movies, one is even in the works. But as far as the entire franchise goes........they are now talking about either completely revamping the entire genre' or starting all over again (geezus kryst I hope not).

I lost interest in Trek when they started doing musical and animation episodes in Strange New Worlds. The new show doesn't sound interesting at all.

then you have no idea of why it happened...did you bi-tch in the OS when kirk was a woman for an episode?..
Theres no reason FOR it to happen. EVER.

The first blow to the Star Trek franchise was when the powers that were decided to kick the original cast to the curb and usher in The Next Generation onto the big screen.

The second blow to the Star Trek franchise was when Star Trek: Nemesis turned out to be the first real flop of the feature film series after it got its ass handed to it by Jennifer Lopez's Maid in Manhattan.

Nemesis blew both the Next Generation and the feature film franchise out of the stars.

And the rest is history...

The original cast was old.
The NG cast had their rights to do movies as well. And I liked Nemesis.
Killing Data though........that really did it for me.

I was hoping they'd do a Voyager movie where species 8472 would come in contact with the Borg, and would fight over who had the most power to take over that quadrant. But.....oh well.

What pisses me off, is they keep going BACKWARDS instead of FORWARDS.
