This one thing is reason enough not to vote for trump.

It's what you want. And it's bad for the country. It's what the two-party drones strive for - division and acrimony. Fear and anger.

If you really want your policy preferences to advance, you don't want to piss off the other side. You don't want to leave them spoiling for revenge and dedicated to undermining your agenda at every opportunity. What you want is them thinking - if only to themselves - "hmm maybe this will work, maybe it has some benefits".

Sorry, but the hard core of the other side has too much power, and sucks too much.

Unlike you I don't pretend my Phasers work in a Star Wars universe.

Nope...

There is evidence that Trump broke the law, he is being treated like every other person who has strong evidence against him of breaking the law...

Trump is also a convicted felon. That was all done in a court were Trump was allowed his full legal right to defend himself.

I will note the rest of the world is amazed how much kid gloves are used on Trump. His comments to a witness in the Stormy pay off case would have him Jail and staying there. He would got the same making a comment about a Judges family. Every normal US Citizen would find themselves in jail if you did this and probably face additional charges..
Trump has clearly shown the US Justice is not equal and it heavily favours the rich and the powerful.
The paying off on Stormy happened 8 years ago and he has yet to face justice for his actions.
He was treated like every other person when he was indicted in New York for a "crime" that nobody else has ever been indicted for? He wasn't. He was the victim of selective prosecution and that case is in the process of being overturned by an appeals case as we speak.

Paying someone off in return for a NDA isn't illegal. It's done all the time. Again...Trump was indicted for something that others have not been.

All of these "lawfare" cases illustrate the lengths that you on the left will go to against your political opponents. The fact that one by one ALL of these cases are getting blown up once they get out of the liberal court with the liberal judges and the liberal juries is proof that it was ALWAYS just politics...and politics of the SLEAZIEST kind!

There were hundreds of indictments in NY for what Trump did

Too much for what? Too much for sanity? Too much for sensible politics?

"I can't get my way 100% so I want to burn it all down". No thanks.

How can you be sensible when one side demands amnesty in the illegal immigrant issue, full celebration in the LGBT issue, and complete submission on the AGW scam?

Hundreds? That's funny, Lesh...when the appeals court judges asked what other indictments have been brought for a similar "crime" the attorney for Tish James was unable to come up with one! The ones she TRIED to claim were the same were given a thumbs down by those judges because they were nothing at all like the Trump case!

If the other side is off the rails, responding sensibly is EXACTLY what you want to do. Responding with your own insanity only validates the opposition.

You mean giving in and letting them get their way.

Ironically the only way you would get your views any traction IS for the system to collapse.

The sham “conviction” will be thrown out. It is unprecedented to charge someone with misdemeanors, and upgrade them to felonies, even though the action itself wasn’t a crime to begin with. It was only a “crime” to pay his own lawyer to cover up another crime, yet they never specified what this other crime was much less charged him and proved it in a court of law. The judge’s instructions to the jury were unconstitutional, telling them they could literally imagine whatever crime they want in order to come to a “guilty” verdict. It will be thrown out once heard by a real court, not some leftwing nutjob judge whose own daughter is raking in millions of dollars from Democrat donors so her daddy ensures a guilty verdict.

Because it is emblematic of what trump was capable of and the kinds of things he'll do again if given the opportunity.

The facts are very straightforward. trump had Cohen put in solitary confinement for refusing to sign a document violating his 1st A right to free speech.

If this was a story about Vladimir Putin jailing a dissenter it would be of little note. But this story is about an American prez having someone jailed because he refused to agree to be silent about that prez.

Ex-Trump fixer Michael Cohen faces long odds in reviving claim against former boss

In an interview via Zoom, Cohen couched his case both in terms of the broader legal issue — seeking to deter officials from taking unconstitutional actions — and the more specific aim of clipping Trump’s wings, with the possibility of a second term in office if the Republican nominee wins November’s election.

“Understanding and knowing Donald Trump, based upon his own words, if there isn’t a significant deterrent factor, he will not stop,” Cohen said. “It won’t stop with just locking people up.”

He noted Trump had previously suggested that Mark Milley, who served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Trump, should be executed for treason.

“If there is no deterrent factor to somebody who lacks a moral compass, what do you end up with? A monarch? A king? A dictator? A führer?” Cohen said.

Cohen was held in solitary confinement for 16 days after refusing to sign a form that would have prevented him from speaking to the press or posting on social media. He was released when a federal judge ruled that the government had retaliated against him for his wish to exercise his free speech rights by writing the book and speaking about it.

Judge finds Michael Cohen's return to prison 'retaliatory,' orders his release

"No engagement of any kind with the media, including print, tv, film, books, or any other form of media/news. Prohibition from all social media platforms."

The form said it was intended "to avoid glamorizing or bringing publicity to your status as a sentenced inmate serving a custodial term in the community."

"I've never seen such a clause in 21 years of being a judge and sentencing people," U.S. District Court Judge Alvin Hellerstein said. "How can I take any other inference but that it was retaliatory?"

January 6 should be the one reason not to vote for Trump.

No. I don't meant that. Try again.

You usually don't mean anything, just snipe at other's views without detailing your own.

You also have a bad habit of cutting out parts of other people's responses, which in the genteel term is "poor form" and in the more vulgar sense is a "dick move"

Yeah. I like to omit the stuff that doesn't address the argument, and just amounts to personal attacks.

The fact is, I didn't mean "give in and let them get their way". At all. Re-read my posts. I'm advocating for sensible politics, rather than a pointless pissing match.

Moderation in the face of tyranny is no virtue.

As long as you don't mind wiping his ass and diapering him several times a day.

Geez, are you off base....

The whole democratic party blames Garland for seemingly doing absolutely nothing to go after Trump for his crimes for over two years...if it weren't for the congressional 1/6 committee showing all of Trump's and his co conspirator crimes and forwarding the report to the doj.....

Jiminey Cricket, the Doj couldn't investigate and find out this for themselves?

YOU ARE WRONG WRONG WRONG!

Doj didn't have the guts to do their jobs, poor judgement on Garlands part, and Dems called him on it!
Glaringly obvious that, in your mind, his job was to get TRUMP!, no matter what.
