Wel, one that that makes it very different from many places in which mass shootings happen is this: its victims come from relatively affluent families. Parkland is a very solidly upper middle class town.
I feel confident that young people like the MSD students are well aware that the GOP is the party that's in power and that it and its Congressional adherents -- variously by outright intransigence and/or repeated "poison pill" procedural tactics/maneuvers -- have constantly and durably confounded efforts to see passed the various legislation and regulation that have been over the past decade been suggested.

The combination of the above noted factors may mark the MSD shooting as the turning point in the movement to effect materially effective legislation and policies, at state and federal levels, that produces admirable results in the fray to curtail gun violence in general and mass shootings in particular.

These snowflakes are going to get an education in some things they didn't study in high school.

The Constitution and the Supreme Court.

TO much money makes to much influence, like to see some open minded people run for government, like to see some people who can relate to the average working person run for government. we need people who are not pushing a paid for agenda. there just has to be a more level headed approach to Guns. we don't need more laws, we need ones that work.

The only thing different is that the Dems were organized and waiting
for something like this to happen. We'll have the meetings and the demonstrations and then it will eventually go away. Even Soros and his money
will realize that they will be getting nowhere.

The best thing that will come out of this is States and the Fed govt will have
to ante up more money for school security. I'm not talking just guards, but fencing with only one accessible gate once school starts and that puts the visitor in the School Office before they can go anywhere else.

That and much tougher school discipline. You put the adults back in charge
rather than the kids.

Insofar as there is money funding any and all political agendas, one will not find individuals who advance and advocate for agendas that are not "paid for" (funded by someone).
