I know it is fact with that response. Never a counter point. This is so dumb.
I can remember paying 30¢ a pound for T-Bone.It bought my first car- 100 dollars -, gas, school lunches and supplies, and I even had enough left over for a movie on Saturday night.
Maybe. Who knows? I'm not interested in judging people over their work ethic. But if someone wants to take a job for less than someone else's idea of a "minimum" wage, they should be allowed to. It's no one else's business. Literally. If one needs to apply for and take a minimum wages job as an adult, then they must have made many poor decisions in their lives.
because....If one needs to apply for and take a minimum wages job as an adult, then they must have made many poor decisions in their lives.
they have no ability to understand life and costs. They only know free!!! they are the, thank you sir may I have another culture.
Just my opinion, but as an adult, if you’re only option is minimum wage, then in my opinion that person really hasn’t tried to better their life.because....

Now if a person has other supports and just wants to stay active in a minimum wage job, then great.

minimum wage jobs were for teenagers and college kids to earn living growing up into society. It was never to have a career at minimum wage. I know of no courses taught on minimum wage. Now if a person has other supports and just wants to stay active in a minimum wage job, then great.
We didn't have thousand dollar sneakers, playstations, iphones, internet, television and streaming charges that young folks today just can't survive without though. LOL, My first full year in the military in 1969 paid about $6K---for the entire year.Trying to remember what 11:50 would buy at that time. I guess it'd be roughly equivalent to about 100 bucks today.
my first job in 1977 out of college paid 4.29 an hour.We didn't have thousand dollar sneakers, playstations, iphones, internet, television and streaming charges that young folks today just can't survive without though. Ask a serf from the middle ages.Heh... right. That's really how liberals think. You think that, unless big daddy government steps in, we'll just wallow in our own filth until we expire.![]()
You were doing well than. My first job was $3.52my first job in 1977 out of college paid 4.29 an hour.
If there were any around, I would. I guess once we get socialism we'll be back in that mode, but not yet!Ask a serf from the middle ages.
Sure, but if you really wanted to be cool, you had to have a Craig Powerplay on your hump and blast out Maggie May as you drove slowly through the parking lot.We didn't have thousand dollar sneakers, playstations, iphones, internet, television and streaming charges that young folks today just can't survive without though. It's unregulated capitalism that will lead us back to serfdom. If there were any around, I would. I guess once we get socialism we'll be back in that mode, but not yet!
Uh huh. Unregulated capitalism is what liberated us from serfdom, the system where the government controls labor and resources. Socialism seeks to bring that back. It's unregulated capitalism that will lead us back to serfdom.
No. Serfdom was when all the resources were owned by the wealthy, that's where we are headed.Uh huh. Unregulated capitalism is what liberated us from serfdom, the system where the government controls labor and resources. Socialism seeks to bring that back.
No, the resources were owned by the government. The only difference between feudalism and socialism is that under socialism, every now and then, the serfs get to vote. Yay!No. Serfdom was when all the resources were owned by the wealthy, that's where we are headed.
