THIS is what I'm concerned about.

The mid terms are on the way, and then another freaking presidential election season will begin. If the Republicans do well, or if the Democrats do well, that's up to the voters. Hopefully whichever party wins will suddenly realize we're a 50/50 country and will decide to start governing that way. For a change.

My only concern is if this aggressive, punitive, authoritarian administration is going to back off and let the voters have their say. We know the excuse for any of their meddling will be the "rigged election" that Trump claimed, months before the 2020 election even took place.

This is what I'm thinking about -- this can't happen:

Trump administration pushes states for election data, Washington Post reports

July 16 (Reuters) - The Trump administration and its allies are trying to obtain voter data from states and inspect voting equipment, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday, in moves it said had caused concern among state and local election officials.

The Post said "the most unusual activity" was taking place in Colorado, where it said a consultant who was working with the White House had asked county clerks whether they would let federal officials or a third party examine voting machines.

"That’s a hard stop for me," it quoted Carly Koppes, a Republican clerk in Colorado's Weld County, as saying. "Nobody gets access to my voting equipment, for security reasons."

The newspaper said the Justice Department had separately asked at least nine states for copies of their voter rolls, and that at least two have turned them over.
“Hopefully whichever party wins will suddenly realize we're a 50/50 country and will decide to start governing that way. For a change.”

Really, Bunky. The left won’t let go of their “Hitler” and “white supremacist” slogans.

Who is going to put a muzzle on Jas’amine Crockett, Wasserman Schultz, et al. They are the screeching, shrill voices of the dim party.

Interesting, MAGAists constantly advocate for measures to fight virtually non-existent voter fraud while never showing any evidence it is a systemic problem. It's almost as though there is another agenda behind their efforts.

Voter Suppression

Your link is a good link. Too bad no one but me will click on it. I mean I will give it up to the right, people like Stephen Miller, I mean he is a smart cookie. Racist as hell, demented for sure, but he is smart. In a real, actually functioning democracy, he would be regulated to insignificance. But no, he is deputy chief of staff.

What we are witnessing now is the result of 40 years of work. Majority rule, **** that. The right has understood, their policies, they are not acceptable to the majority. The strong shift in immigration beliefs recently a case in point. That doesn't matter to them. The level of manipulation, the use of social media, it is ******* scary as to how efficient the right has become.

And again, pure genius, addressing things at the state level. I mean has anyone examined that? When states propose the same legislation, to the word, is that not a problem? Realistically, is that what the founders envisioned? Hell no, and that is the problem.

It's telling that "voter suppression" shrieks greet virtually any effort to ensure fair and secure elections. Require voter ID? "Voter suppression!", even when ID's are provided free of charge and seriously, you can't really function in today's world without one. Purge deceased voters and those who no longer live in the area from the rolls? "Voter suppression!", even though leaving them there leaves it wide open for fraud. End ballot harvesting? You guessed it, "Voter suppression!", even though it only makes sense to require every voter to submit their own ballot, whether in person or remotely IF NECESSARY.

Basically, it amounts to asking why you would want to leave doors and windows open to fraud when you can just close them and give the voting populace assurance that they are actually voting in a fair and secure election.
Ballot harvesting? There has only been one case of that actually being prosecuted. Only one case that has been the driving force behind prosecution and overturning the results of an election. Impress me, tell me you know when and where that happened and what party benefited.

Here's a tip: Come up with a plan, idea or solution. The current ideas of Orange man bad, saving all illegals, singing at protests (hell, all your damn protests), doxing ICE just doesn't work.

Find a candidate that is authentic. Trying to show how macho you are by having every third word a cuss word is fricken weak, and everyone can see it's BS.

Stolen Elections locally, statewide and on the federal level exist. If the differences in governing were not so divergent it may have not been noticed over the many decades after the taxpayer was maxed out. Every Progressive Socialist Communist in power, use the Capitalist side to live the great life. All of them.

You have every right to be concerned.
I very much look forward to being proven wrong. I believe the Trumpsters think this stuff is just precautionary, since they've bought every other story they've been given on this. They're not the people I'm concerned about.

I don't believe he's concerned.

Everyone with half a brain who has been paying attention even remotely knows that there is nothing authoritarian about Trump.

He can't even take a shit without someone making up something nasty about it.

Taking into consideration that just about every negative scenario that you twats have made up about Trump so far this year has turned out to be only liberal wishful thinking.....I think you can stop clutching your pearls.

This site....https://www.democracydocket.com/....has a pretty comprehensive listing of the many ways trumpery is trying to subvert elections. The trump regime represents a full, frontal attack on almost every aspect of our democracy with the full support of The Following.
It was a hopeful sign to see that one Republican clerk in Colorado say "no" (though she'll probably be targeted now). We're lucky that so many Republicans have shown some spine over this charade.

But many of them have been replaced by loyalists. So we'll see.

God forbid we have transparent elections.

So, what's the "charade?" Seems you are alleging that the Federal Gvt. is rigging voting machines. Any proof of that other than your fevered TDS brain?

He shits golden turds. He is chosen by God. He is a deity, not a president. I mean we don't need no ******* Constitution, we got a God. He is the smartest man that ever lived. We don't need a Congress, we don't need a SCOTUS, we got a God.

Can't explain yourself? WHat is the "charade" you are alleging? WHat is your concern with the Federal gvernment inspecting voting machines and voter rolls?

They exist in their own reality.

It's difficult enough to communicate with them in real life, but it's still worth trying. And it's interesting as hell.

Here? Pointless. These are the truest of the True Believers. Absolute intellectual myopia.

Trump needs his ass beat. I like the story of his father showing up at his college dorm. Trump opens the door and Dad immediately decks him. And his staff, his cabinet, I mean a rogues roost. Noem, Bondi, Kennedy, these people are flippin crazy. Stephen Miller, he needs another swirly, sure he had them often in High School. Little prick, it is sad to watch his overcompensation.

My only concern is that you're a lying piece of shit.

Where was your "concern" for an "aggressive, punitive, authoritarian administration" when Biden and his autopen was jailing his political opponents ?

Where was your "concern" for an "aggressive, punitive, authoritarian administration" went Pelosi refused to seat the congressmen the Republicans chose on the J6 Kangaroo Kommission, and instead seated anti-Trump lackeys?

Where was your "concern" for an "aggressive, punitive, authoritarian administration" when, for political purposes the law was changed to allow E. Jean Carol to sue Donald Trump?

Where was your "concern" for an "aggressive, punitive, authoritarian administration" when Donald Trump was being tried for an NDA payment and the star witness for the prosecution was a convicted perjurer?

Where was your "concern" for an "aggressive, punitive, authoritarian administration" when, for political purposes, NY sued Donald Trump for mortgage fraud WHEN THE BANKS HE SUPPOSEDLY DEFRAUDED TESTIFIED FOR HIS DEFENSE?!?!

**** you and your faux concern. Your "concern" is that your losing the battles and the war...and now you're attempting to prime the narrative so when you lose again, you'll have a prefabricated excuse.

Everyone on this site sees through your bullshit like you have a glass head...so do us all a favor and stick that head in the toilet and flush.

We'll be rid of you, and you'll be among your own. It's win/win.
