40 years is two generations.

It took almost ten generations before this nation could bring itself to elect a Catholic

When I consider how much our society has changed in the last two generations, the thought of having an African American POTUS doesn't seem all that dramatic a change to me.

The pace of extreme change in how our society functions (or not) has been accelerating exponentially.

Some of you reading this are going to be around 40 years from now.

I predict you'll be astounded how different your nation is then. I also predict that few of you will really like those changes, too.

The term is FUTURE SHOCK, folks.
